Tired.
Going to bed early. Too many late nights and early mornings.
Tired.
Semi-rough day with work. My Tech’s truck broke down again. Fortunately at the end of the day, but he didn’t get much at all done today, just 2 cars and a come back car. Don’t get paid for comeback cars.
Lots of time and energy into scheduling for things to fall apart, but you know… I’m honestly not worried. It is what it his.
Tried to teach my nephews how to swim. Realized I’m not much of a swim teacher. They made some good progress though.
After that, we rented a jet ski, and I took teach of the boys out for an hour on the lake.
Fun fun fun.
I’m tired.
I’ve been doing decently well with my dailies, but my mind and heart are weighed down with heavy things right now, and I’m busy trying to keep my business alive and be an uncle, so I haven’t had much time to address what’s going on in ye old cerebro.
I’ve got a long drive tomorrow after finishing up uncle time, so maybe I’ll make some headway in getting the brain working and getting some things processed.
Did I mention I’m tired?
#1. I’m grateful to be here with family.
#2. I’m grateful to be one of the lucky ones and have the means to rent jet skis and take my nephews out on the lake. Their first time ever.
#3. I’m grateful for hot showers and cold endings, though my cold ending wasn’t that cold. It was still good, though.
#4. I’m grateful to have been healthy for quite a while. I’m feeling a little head congestion after being on the lake, and I’m hoping it’s not gonna turn into the bacterial infection that I sometimes get from not-so-clean bodies of water. I’m reminded of how I rarely get sick.
#5. I’m grateful that I had the opportunity to take this trip that I’m on. I’m thinking hard about taking another trip, visiting a couple friends back east, and then heading up to New England to put boots on the ground in search of some of my ancestors. I’d probably do that pretty soon, actually. Go back to Arkansas, get all my business stuff taken care of, and then be on my way again perhaps.
Well, folks. It’s 9:16. I’m gonna break a record perhaps. Gonna eat a little bit and then get my butt in bed.
Loves and hugs to all y’all.
