2020-10-29 — Wait, Is That the Sun?!?!

If you’ve been reading the last few days, we’ve had pretty much non-stop rain for days now–four days, I think. Including winter thunderstorms, heavy downpours, misty Pacific Northwest style, and just a lot of drizzle. Inches and inches of the stuff. Crazy amounts of water.

But… today… around 4:30… there was this weird brightness in the sky… and colors I’d all but forgotten about. Some big yellow ball shining through a hole in the clouds and this… bright blue color!!!

Soooooo nice. You know… I probably would get dreary fatigue if I lived in the great PNW. Or maybe it was just that my mood was matching the rain anyway. I don’t know. Either way, I’m feeling pretty good right now, and that’s nice. 😁

So… where to begin… Oh, right, wake up time. πŸ™ƒ Up at 4:55, saw a post from a friend when I woke up that concerned me a bit. I don’t remember what I did for exercise this morning. It wasn’t servicise. It was cold and wet. I think I just walked around and around the house? I got my 10,000 steps in, so I think that’s what I did this morning.

Did my morning study stuff, memorizing, etc., 5×5 (6×5 today, actually). I called the IRS, and they still had no record of having made any progress on my S-Corp application, and the lady who I spoke with today gave me the opposite advice of the lady I spoke with last time, telling me to go ahead and file my taxes as though I were an S-Corp. So… I guess I’ll be working on that. Lots of money in fines later, but that they’ll hopefully forgive as a first time offense thingy. Something like that, anyway.

Crossing fingers.

Honestly, everything tax related and my business has been a mess for years now. I just need to get it all squared away and buttoned up and then hire an accountant and forget it. Soooooo much stress and headache and wasted time, and I could’ve paid an accountant 20 times over for the amount of money I’ve wasted in time trying to do all this. But at this point, I sort of feel like I’m hosed until I get everything cleaned up.

You know… maybe I’ll just go find an accountant now anyway. That might help relieve some pressure and stress and overwhelm and get me going where I need to go.

Aaaaaaanyway, the sister missionaries came over this morning. I wondered if they’d been sent because I was “less active.” Kind of funny, since I’m like uber “active” now, as the sayings go. Yeah… just… funny. I have to say, though, I wouldn’t be sad at all if church stayed home church forever. Yes, there are social things I’d miss, but I love home church.

What else… Oh! No, I think I actually walked around in the rain this morning! Because I remember thinking that I was already wet, so what would it hurt to go pull weeds as my outdoor 5×5. So, I did!

Anyway, the phone has been ringing off the hook today, so tomorrow is absolutely slammed. And I mean slammed. It’s gonna be a crazy crazy day. Cross your fingers, please, that things go well. Could be a record-setting day if they do. That would be fun. Haven’t broken any records in a while.

Guess what?!?!

I bought a bed!!!!!!!!

That’s actually what I was driving to go pick up when the sun and brilliant blueness came bursting through the gray. Someone put a queen-size double sided pillowtop mattress, including box springs, frame, and comforter set, for $250. Only used two years. In great condition (came from a really nice neighborhood). I’m excited! A few things I’ve learned already, though:

  1. When I get married, not a chance a queen will do. I’ll likely get a regular king, but you never know… I might go with a Wyoming King, a Texas King, or even an Alaska King. We’ll see.
  2. This mattress is heavy. I mean… it took everything I had to get it out of the truck, into the house, and up the stairs. Good gravy! What do they build these things out of!?!?!?

Got to reconnect for a brief chat with my friend Brittani today. 😊 That was nice. 😊 My guess is we’ll be in touch here and there but not regularly for a good while. We’ll see.

I’m way past bedtime, and it’s gonna be nutty tomorrow, so I need to cut this off here.

#1. I’m grateful for sunshine and the end to this long, cold deluge.

#2. I’m grateful to have a new bed to try out tonight! No more sleeping crossways on two full beds or twin beds or whatever they are. Full, I think? No more seem to deal with!

#3. I’m grateful I was able to reconnect a bit with Brittani today. 😊

#4. I’m grateful to have work being busy again.

#5. I’m grateful my Silverado, which I haven’t driven more than to take the trash up the hill, made it just fine on the drive to pick up and bring back the bed.

Loves and hugs, my wonderfuls. 😊

Bring it on.

Lift the World.
