2020-11-25 — Gratitude Week, Day 4

Feliz Wednesday, the new Friday! 😊

It’s been a relatively relaxing day today, and I’m grateful.

#1. I’m grateful that despite waking up 700 times through the night, I wasn’t totally exhausted today.

#2. I’m grateful that the rain-soaked wood still managed to keep the house warm today. Not as warm as it’s been other days, but it also stayed in the 40s all day today, and it’s gonna freeze tonight. So… nice to be warm.

#3. I’m grateful to my friend Cory for checking up on me, helping me in my efforts to face my challenges and grow in the ways I want to grow.

#4. I’m grateful for my mother’s fabulous whole wheat bread. Mmmmmmmm.

#5. I’m grateful for home-delivered packages that simplify and slow life down a little (or make that possible, at least).

#6. I’m grateful to have seen growth in myself today. I heard about yet another young person getting married (one of the fairly recently returned missionaries from my branch) and whereas hearing such things tend to trigger my pity-party, woe-is-me, I’m-still-old-and-single-and-lonely-etc. issues, today I specifically, deliberately tried to simply feel happy for the young guy.

#7. I’m grateful to also see myself verbalize some things to a friend that were extremely important for me to verbalize that were not easy.

#8. I’m grateful that my finger appears to be healing well. It doesn’t hurt really at all, unless out in the cold for too long uncovered.

#9. I’m grateful to be able to be there for a friend who had a rough day today.

#10. I’m grateful to be wrapping this journal entry up at 9:03 tonight with plans to stoke the fire and head right to bed–after brushing my teeth, of course. I’ve been off kilter the last handful of days, and I’ll be grateful to get back on.

#11. I’m grateful that though David’s big 5-hour job today was postponed because the storm knocked out the power to the parts supplier, so we couldn’t get the part we ordered, I’m grateful that, nonetheless, we were able to have a full day for David.

So… there you have it. Loves and hugs to all y’all wonderful lovelies. Happy Thanksgiving to you!

Lift the World.
