Bon noche, my wonderfuls. 😊
I hope y’all have had a happy, memorable, healthy and gratitude-filled Thanksgiving. It’s such a great holiday, one of the few left that still feels like it hasn’t been commercialized to death? It’s nice. 😊
#1. I’m grateful to mom for making our veggie Thanksgiving lunch today, as we’ve both embarked on the veggie thing (right now, technically, I think I’m considered an ovo-lacto vegetarian, since I’m eating dairy and eggs for the moment. Still want to find a place to get eggs from happy chickens, and if I stay with dairy… happy cows). Mom made sweet potato chile, deviled eggs, cornbread, and and avocado. Good stuff.
#2. I’m grateful to have my finger continuing to heal. It’s still got a ways to go, I think, and rehab might take a good little while, but it’s looking pretty decent at least. Not amazing, but decent, I think.
#3. I’m grateful that I’ve become fairly proficient in my typing without my left index finger able to help for now.
#4. I’m grateful it as a little warmer today.
#5. Though they’re quite often incorrect, I’m grateful for weather reports, so I have a heads up knowing that next week is gonna be frigid.
#6. I’m grateful I was able to get back on the bicycle today, so to speak. I got the chainsaw out and spent an hour or two in the woods doing forest maintenance and fire prevention work (cutting down dead trees and cutting off dead branches, and continuing to pull up the massive number of vines that have grown up. You’ll be pleased to know that I kept both hands on the chainsaw at all times. 😊 I’ve been looking for some good chainsaw gloves, but I haven’t found any I’m satisfied with yet. The seem to protect the back of the hand, but what about the fingers?!?!
#7. I’m grateful for the beautiful day today. Such gorgeous weather. Sunny, high of 60ish, except down in the draw, where it could have been as low as the upper 40s. Amazing how cold the draw can get.
#8. I’m grateful for family. Nice little phone call with my sister Heather tonight.
#9. I’m grateful to learn and discover new things in my studies. I noticed a pattern in Jacob 5 today that corresponded to something I’ve actually been thinking a bit about lately, and it was super cool. I’d never noticed it before.
#10. I’m grateful that my body has been doing decently well lately, haven’t had an over-the-edge day in… at least a little while.
Loves and hugs, my lovelies. Thanks, for hangin’ with me. I’m feeling the push within myself to get more focused and more dedicated to doing what it takes to accomplish my deepest desires, so… guess we’ll see what fun things pop up in the journal entries the next little while. 😁
Bring it on.
Lift the World.
