2021-01-06 — Today Was Perfect. Tomorrow Will Be Amazing.

So… to the day today. Let’s see. Tired. Slept in until 7. Up. Family study with the mama. Breakfast. Work.

Work, work, work.

I’ve been making good choices. I’ve been making improvements in being more consistent, in choosing to do the things that lift me and choosing to let go of the things that drag me down.

Speaking of… I had to fight off more downer junk this morning–actively choosing to push away the creeping fog that seems to roll in even without thinking about unhappy things. It’s almost like a fog that causes the negative thinking/feeling. Super weird. Can’t say I’m used to that (or even that I’m describing it very well, but…)…

Right. So… I’m tired. It’s late. I’ve stayed up sort of decompressing watching Cody the Cornstar be upbeat about the storm that destroyed their farm.

So, it’s been a good day, like every day of my life, and tomorrow will be a great one, too.

#1. It was cold and rainy, and I am blessed to live in a warm and dry house.

#2. It was cold and rainy, and I am blessed to have a vehicle that has a working heater.

#3. It was cold and rainy, and I am blessed to have clothes that keep me warm (the shoes are my own stupid fault because… I still haven’t bought shoes despite my sister and brother in law giving me money specifically to buy shoes. 🙃).

#4. It was cold and rainy, and I have a washer and dryer to wash and dry my wet, dirty clothes.

#5. It was cold and rainy, but David was able to get a full day of work.

#6. I’ve been a little lonelier lately, I think, but my friend Kimmi reached out today, and we texted on and off during the day. That was nice. I’d been thinking today that I felt like I didn’t have but a few friends, so it was nice for her to reach out. 😊

#7. I’m grateful to feel like I’m growing as a person.

#8. I’m grateful to be 24 days sober today. 😊 Love, not selfishness. Love love love love love love love.
