Some days, you get to the end of the day, and you look back, and you’re like, “I didn’t get anything done that I’d planned to get done.” But… at the same, the day was spent nearly exactly how it ought to have been. Sure, it wasn’t perfect: I had a couple hours in the evening where I probably should have sucked it up and worked on my taxes, but… it had been a pretty exhausting day already, and… I chose… not to
Actually, I spent most of the day chatting with my friend, Brittani. We’ve been having some pretty deep discussions, and the wheels in my brain are turning. I’ve got all sorts of stuff going on in there. 🙃
Good stuff.
I also did some work out in the woods, trying to clear away those trees that were all tied together with vines. It’s pretty nutty out there. I’m gonna have to take down two more trees to get the whole mess cleaned up, and there’s so much poison ivy. I think I might have gotten some in the corner of my right eye, unfortunately (outside corner). It’s starting to itch and water a bit.
Cross your fingers it’s not, but, whatever. Life goes on. 🙂
Gonna be a busy one tomorrow. Looks like I bought both those cars. 🙃 Don’t leave me alone at an auction without having decided far ahead of time exactly what I’m going to do and not do.
Gonna go pick those cars up. I guess we’ll see if I lucked out or goofed up. Cross your fingers for me there, too. 🙃
#1. I’m grateful to be learning and growing. I’m watching myself increase in patience. It’s slow progress, but it’s something. It’s noticeable, at least.
#2. I’m grateful that it was sunny today. That was nice. It’s been cloudy for so long, snowy, cold, was nice to have some sunshine. Still cold. High was 23, maybe? Gonna be a little warmer tomorrow. Enjoyed the sun, though. Sooooo bright with the snow everywhere. 🙂
#3. I’m grateful to be able to walk side by side with friends as we help each other grow.
#4. I’m grateful for my friend Cory for being so blasted dependable in sending me text messages twice a day to check in to see how I’m doing with choosing what I want most. Cory, you rule. Thank you!
#5. I’m grateful that my chainsaw got stuck in the tree I was cutting down. With all the trees vined together, I didn’t realize the direction of the pressure on this particular tree, and had the chainsaw cut all the way through I might have taken a spring-loaded tree trunk to the face/body. So… normally, I hate it when I get the chains caught in the trees. Today, I was grateful.
