2021-02-27 — Uh…

I might or might not still be up… at 1:00 a.m. on the dot… looking at land to buy. 🙃

Good day today. Probably the best part is that I managed to stare down the barrel of a potential multi-thousand-dollar mistake and just… after being terrified for about a day, starting this afternoon, I just… stopped worrying/caring. 🙂

It’s gonna be what it’s gonna be.

Nothing to do about it now. Just figure it out and move forward. All good. Things happen.

In other news, I sold one of my trucks this morning, thanks, to my mother who showed it for them, took payment, and finalized paperwork for me while I was out working for the day.

Thanks, mom!

That just leaves… uh… a Silverado, a Versa, a Sentra, a Terrain, an E350, and a miracle Civic. Me and my low-budget car lot over here. 🙃 Funny. Gonna put the Terrain up for sale on Monday and get that one out of here. I’ll keep the Silverado until I find a better truck. But I don’t want to be without a truck. There’s an auction on Monday that has another Sentra I might use as a donor for the one I just bought. We’ll see.

Let’s see… battery job (modern cars are getting so crazy. After changing a battery, I have to reprogram the window motor and reprogram the steering angle module. Good. Freaking. Gravy.

People can’t even change their own batteries now without a high-end scan tool. It’s nutty.

That was the first job. Then it was a tune up. Then it was a no start diagnosis. Then it was a belt replacement. And finally a pads and rotors job. Then home and lots and lots of time on the internet looking at things to buy–cars, land, houses, heavy equipment… planning for the future. I think what I might do is buy a chunk of land and put a mobile home on it with a storm cellar. It’s funny. There’s this tiny home craze, and I admit a tiny home is a fun idea. But my soul needs space. The other thing is that tiny homes sell for crazy dollars. I can get a 1000 sq ft mobile home for a third the cost of a 300 sq. ft. tiny home, and the construction is gonna be about the same quality. That’s what’s funny. Our culture tends to look down on mobile homes a decent bit, but if we call it a tiny home it becomes trendy and pricier.

Funny.

Anyway, there’s a good-sized piece of land in Exeter, MO that caught my eye. Not the size I’d like, but it’s a decent size, and I can’t afford the size I’d like unless I move somewhere where I don’t know a soul. And that… I don’t like that idea.

Anyway, it’s late. Well, early. 🙃

#1. I’m grateful to have been able to let o of the nearly all of the fear of that potentially costly error.

#2. I’m grateful to my mama for making good food and for getting the truck taken care of for me.

#3. I’m grateful to have so much… abundance. I’m blessed with so much of everything.

#4. I’m grateful for a day of rest.

#5. I’m grateful for good people out there using their time and means to help other people. So cool.
