Holar, my folks!

Happy Sunday madrugada!

Been a good day today. For starters, I got up at 5:30!!! What a improvement! Yay! (don’t think I’m gonna match that, as I’m pretty tired, couldn’t fall asleep last night, so I only got like 4 hours of sleep. But I got up at 5:30, chatted with Big Papi, and then Jim (my Hill Brother) and I drove up to Monnett, MO to look at a mini excavator, leaving here at 6 a.m. and getting there about 7. And guess what?

You guessed it! I bought it. 🙃

So now I have a skid steer that’s pretty much fully functional, but I’m doing all the routine maintenance on it right now, so it’s not up and running until I get all the fluids and filters changed, etc. And I have a dozer (that needs help for sure). And now I have a mini excavator! The trailer to haul the steer and the vator is not quite fully functional. I need to get the hitch adapter for my truck, and I’d like to get the trailer brakes wired up.

I need to do that quickly because it looks like the first rental job will come next week. They might rent both my skid steer and my mini ex. 🙂 Wahoo! That will be so nice!!!

Maybe inching closer to financial freedom a bit? Still lots to do. Cross your fingers.

What else… uh….

I worked on like… 7 cars today? Pretty much all quite easy except the first one and a good bit of a hiccup with the last one. But it was a pretty light day, and that was nice. 🙂 First job was a carryover from yesterday. The shop apparently put power steering fluid in the master cylinder and ruined a massive chunk of the braking system. It locked up all four wheels, and so I’m gonna need to replace the master cylinder, all the pads and rotors, and possibly more. We’ll see.

Second car was a no start, and it turned out to be just really corroded battery cables with a brand new battery. Third car was a dead battery. 4th car was another dead battery. 5th car was a drained battery caused by a parasitic draw originating in the driver’s door. 6th car was a busted coolant fitting, and last car was a no start (starter). Pretty easy day. It was nice. 🙂

Long day, though.

Good day.

I tried to put Mr. Big Shot first again. Had a good little chat. That was good. Could have done better still, but improvement has definitely been had.

Received a message from a friend that was a bit painful to read, but itt was also motivating for me, I think. Great friend. Big heart. I’m grateful for people who care so much about me. 🙂

I’m starting to feel the hunger creep back in. I’ve missed that. The hunger for spiritual things. I’ve struggled for so long without feeling the Spirit as deeply as I’m used to.

Anyway, I need to go to bed. My sister Heather has been looking at land in Missouri, and she found an absolutely gorgeous piece of property. 80 acres. House. Out buildings. creek. Beautiful. And it’s like $350k!!! Wow!!!

That’s so tempting!

It’s in Dixon, though, which is 3 hours plus from here. I’d like to be nearby. But…. hmmmm…. we’ll see what life brings.

#1. I’m grateful for a happier day. Another step forward today.

#2. I’m grateful the truck is doing well. Oh! I forgot to mention that there were 8 vehicles today. I replaced the power steering pressure line in my own truck, so I’d stop leaking everywhere on my customer’s driveways and whatnot. So… that’s fixed now, too! (I’ve been doing a lot of fixing of my own vehicles lately. I guess it’s time. I haven’t had to do really anything for so long, but I’m driving a chevy right now, so…. it’s gonna need lots of maintenance. Lots wrong with it right now; but it’s going and taking me where I need to go, so that’s good.

#3. I’m grateful for happy customers who express their appreciation for the work I do.

#4. I’m grateful to not be way over the edge when I didn’t eat pretty much all day. Not a good choice, but it happened, and I’m grateful I’m not migraining or something else.

#5. I’m grateful to have a day of rest tomorrow. Yee haw!

Loves to all y’all Wonderfuls! 🙂

Lift the World.
