2021-07-08 — Walking Space

Another day.

Three cars, plus one. No start… Tahoe… needed a battery. Then a 2015 Ram 1500 with drivability issues. Had transmission codes. Probably gonna need a full rebuild. Not so good.

While I was at AutoZone, a young woman came in trying to borrow tools to change her battery. She has an interlock to be able to start the car, but it wasn’t starting. I told her I’d help her. She was on the verge of tears and with her parents. I went over to her car at the court house, and the battery was fine, but there was no power to the interlock. I figured out the interlock itself was having issues. I managed to hold it together long enough for her to get her car started. She was grateful, crying, and wanted to give me a hug, which, this time, I let happen… unlike the other night.

Nice to be able to help and make someone’s day.

Last job… I forgot about. It was way down in Fayetteville, but I went anyway because I’d promised I would.

Unfortunately, had to give them the bad news that the engine was seized.

From there, I went straight home, showered (which takes a while when your body is stained with oil). Then it was off to the viewing.

Managed to get my room cleaned up a bit. The papers all over the floor organized a bit. Have walking space now.

It’s almost 5 a.m.

Good night.
