Somehow, it feels like tomorrow should be Saturday… like there’s just one more day before my rest day.
But, alas, it’s gonna be a crazy Friday.
Se la vie.
Rough start to the day. Slept in. Got in a very short but really awful fight with my mom. Really awful.
Fortunately, we’re good now. Grateful she’s quick to forgive.
Busy day. Only did four cars, but still… busy. So much going on all the time. Never a dull moment. Just run run run. It’s almost 2:30. Was up until almost 5, I think, this morning. Anyway, first car was a no show–miscommunication. Second one was going back to a coolant leak that ended up needing more than I had, so it’ll be another day out there. I think I got all the parts I need. Wait… no… still need the water outlet.
Second car was a no start. Turns out someone had worked on the fuse block before, and they must have left a washer off one of the connections because it was loose and couldn’t be tightened. So I added a washer, and boom. Good to go.
Third car… what was it… uh… Third car just needed a battery. So… that was nice and easy.
Fourth car, just needed a brake pedal stoplight grommet (brake lights staying on after the car is completely turned off). Replaced the bushing thing, and tried to charge the battery, but it’s toast, so… no dice there. He didn’t want the battery I’d bought, so he’ll get another one himself.
After that, I drove to Missouri to buy a job box, which turned out to be really huge–way bigger than I expected/realized it was going to be. But we bought it because my very generous hill sister and husband are redoing the main road on the property and the road that goes up to our house, and in order to minimize the erosion of the new driveway, we’re gonna put a job box by the mailboxes as a package and grocery drop off. The delivery trucks tend to rough up the driveway a good bit more than the other cars (ours and others), at least I think.
Anyway, huge job box. I think it would be fun to paint it with a fun design or scene to make it not only useful but attractive. We’ll see how it goes.
Spent the last couple hours working on tax stuff. Making more progress. Time for bed.
loves and hugs to all y’all.
Lift the World.
