It’s me who brings me back to earth.
Last job went quite sideways today when it should have been easy.
I almost got in a major wreck because i was being stupid.
Got home way later than i hoped (had my nephew Hunter with me today, so i was trying to get back sooner).
Up at 5:17 today. A good bit later than planned. Must have dozed off after the alarm went off. Took too much time doing 5x5s again, so i was late. Need to get back to setting the countdown timer. It’s so much more effective all the way around doing that. I just get lazy and don’t want to set the timer (takes 15 seconds to set… Yeah… lazy.).
Didn’t get much exercise in, but i got a bit. Got some meditation in. Was grateful to find a resource that will convert my bank statements into Google sheets. That’s… a *big* deal. It’s gonna save quite a bit of time, thank goodness.
Didn’t get really anything done on the np today. Will tomorrow, though.
Hunter went with me today. That was helpful, but it also increased my stress level because when things went sideways, i was really stressed about getting him home. I’d told time him around 6 or so, but with that last quick job turning into a mess, it was past nine before i got him home.
And, in my stress, I made a really stupid decision. I’ve been good about not texting and driving, but I was trying to get him an Uber or something home, and i was on my phone doing that and texting him while driving, and i ended up jumping a curb, going down into a ditch, at probably 30 mph or something, feeling like I might tip over, before pulling out of it, and getting back on the road. It. Was. Crazy.
Unfamiliar, windy road + my very poor choice = smashed up inside of my van with stuff strewn everywhere. Stuff I’d just worked hard organize and make nice not 6 hours earlier. And now it’s destroyed in there. 😕
But I’m alive (Hunter wasn’t in the van). The van is ok. It’s bleeding from i don’t know where (burst jug of coolant I can’t find that’s leaking out). Huge mess to clean.
Ok. Well, it’s after 10. I’m way late.
