2021-12-09 — Brain On Overdrive

Hiya, folks!

My I slept in again today, again not feeling so well. Cross your fingers, I’m not regressing tonight like I have the last several. Hoping to stay solid all night and be back to the normal routine. Routines go to die in my world when they get interrupted, so here’s to not letting that happen this time.

My brain is on overdrive. As some of you know, I have a passion for changing the English spelling system and making it fully phonetic (the irony of the spelling of that word is not lost on me 🙃). Well… I’ve been inspired lately by watching lots of clips about Elon Musk and what he’s doing, and it brought back to memory the pie-in-the-sky dream I have of my Modern American (the tentative name for my new spelling system) become the mainstream system we use for reading and writing in the future. And while I was driving down the freeway to my first job, the process that would be best to follow to get passed my biggest hurdles just clicked. I’d thought about the same process previously, but it just clicked in a way it hadn’t, and all the rest of the day my brain has been on overdrive wanting to work on that project. It’s one of those huge things that could make a huge difference for the whole world, in my mind anyway. It has the potential to add billions of potential productivity hours to the world arena each year, if not hundreds of billions. Not to mention huge decreases in the number of printed pages and the amount of ink needed, significant increases in typing speed ability… More opportunities for those in developing nations to raise their standard of living by increasing their abilities to compete on a global scale.

Anyway, that’s one of the projects my nonprofit could be working on–bringing people together of so many backgrounds and then joining together to work on projects to benefit humanity. Well, this could be one of those!

And this one’s actually so simple to get started. I just need a programmer, darn it! Ugh. I know exactly what needs to be done. I can spell it all out for the programmer, the database, the GUI, everything. I. just. can’t. do. it. myself, and it would be a waste of my time to learn coding. It would be horribly inefficient.

Anyway, the brain is cycling a trillion miles an hour right now, and I’m staring, literally, at my pile of papers that need to be gone through to get my tax house in order.

“Where will it lead?”

From now on, I’m going to be thinking a heck of a lot more about where decisions I make will take me down the road. Being paralyzed by my poor record keeping… bites.

Anyway, so that’s been running through my brain. I got in contact with people from two universities today, looking for professors with research experience/interest in the field where I’m working right now.

So many ideas. So much I’d like to do for the world. Got. To. Get. Out. From. Under. This. Pile!

In my next 40 years… I’m gonna do a lot.

Love to all!

p.s. 3 cars today. One that’s been on the list for over a month–a DEF tank on a box truck. The second was a labor claim on a window regulator. The replacement did better, but still not great. The third was a suspension noise diagnosis (sway bar links are bad).

  1. YES!!! THE SPELLING SYSTEM!!! The only thing about telling people about it before you do it is, some of the people you tell might be more interested in the profit than the human benefit. So, keep your cards as close to your chest as possible in order to keep the human benefit prioritized. (I think?!) Does oldest brother have someone he trusts who could/would partner up? Or who could recommend someone?
What’s a DEF tank? 🙂 I see “No DEF” advertised on some of the heavy equipment I’ve looked at. 🙂

    Love you bro….
