So. Many. Things. Going. On.
I’d say I’m a deer in the headlights, except… I guess I’m not frozen in place: I’m running a gazillion miles an hour. Just… frantically? How about a rundown?
- Found out the young man who was going to go with me today is actually not legally here in the states, so as much as I was excited to have him, I can’t legally pay him, so… that ended before it started.
- Dozer guy came over in the morning, and I’m probably looking at $4-5k to try to weld the transmission. Ouch. But… what else am I going to do? Left unrepaired, it’s gonna grenade itself and be completely useless. So… I’m biting the bullet and going ahead. I gave him $215 tonight (stopping by his shop) to buy the needed welding rods, and he’ll get started on Thursday. In the meantime, I need to remove the hydraulic and other lines that are in the way of the welding project.
- Guy who sells businesses emailed back today, so I need to reply.
- Accountant emailed, so I need to get back to her as well.
- Fixed three cars, and rescheduled one for tomorrow, so I wouldn’t over do it, as I’m going over the edge almost constantly for no apparent reason, unless somehow I’m dehydrated? First car was a no start diagnosis (bad battery). Second car needed a belt replaced (2005 Sonata), alternator belt, and I was grateful that both belts that had to be tensioned to do the job went just fine on the first go round. That doesn’t happen really at all for me on manually tensioned belts. I tend to let them be on the looser side, as belts that are too tight can damage bearings, and it went great, thankfully. Third car was supposedly a big water pump job, but it turned out to be just a damaged hose, so I cut and spliced it, and that was it. Well… it fought me a little bit getting coolant into it. It wouldn’t suck it all in the first time, started to overheat again instead, but it sucked it through on the second attempt.
- Got an okay amount of paperwork done despite being up late and getting up later than I’d have liked.
- Programmers built the front-end main home page for my site and the admin screen, so I needed to look over those to give the green light that we’re headed the right direction, and to release payment for completed milestones.
- I arranged to have my friend Miguel sell my GMC Terrain, so I’m going to clean it up, send it over, and pay him a commission to sell it for me, getting it mostly off my plate as a stressor.
- GoogleSheets is fighting me tooth and nail because my worksheets are so huge that they bog down at the drop of a hat. I got almost nothing done on that front this morning with it because it just wouldn’t let me.
- Brain running through a gazillion things I want to do to change the world.
But, time for bed. Way past time for bed.
Good night!
Lift the World.
