2022-01-29 — Another One Down

Thank you, to my friend Miguel. He sold my GMC Terrain for me. 🙂

So that’s another one down.

Wahoo!

Not only that, but he got me a great price for it as well–more than I would’ve gotten myself. Super cool. The parking lot is getting emptier. Sentra and dozer are next on the chopping block. It’s nice to be getting the projects done. It’s been going slowly, but it’s going.

“Where will it lead?”

Chains. That’s where it led. Taking on so many things without doing my homework–just buying without inspecting. And… where did it land me? Chained down with so many things to do.

But I’m plowing through. And… I’m making better decisions now. That’s something. 🙂

I’m also going to take most of next week off in an effort to get all my tax/record stuff done before I fly out to Costa Rica. Lots of work. Lots and lots. But it’s a good week to take off. I’ll work Monday, and then that’s all for next week. Tuesday and Wednesday will be rainy. Thursday and Friday will be crazy-freaking cold. So… yeah… good week to take off and do bust a gut with the financials.

What else… had a meeting this morning with an organization trying to do the same thing I am with spelling reform. They seemed to be interested in what I’m doing and how I’m doing it. My approach is a solid bit more radical than what they’ve been trying to do, but hey, that’s me, right? The radical utopian. 🙃 Hey, if you’re gonna try and do the impossible (get the world to change how they spell English), why only to a partial reform, leaving so many other problems uncorrected?

Nope. Go big. Go all out. 🙂

What else… Worked on finances a good bit today. Fixed two cars. The first was a battery job. He also had a key chime that wouldn’t turn off, so I took apart his dash, found the speaker. It was soldered to a circuit board, so I unsoldered it, and voila: No more chime. That’s the cheap fix. 🙃

Second job I’d completely forgotten about until they texted, so I went over there. They needed power steering lines replaced, but one of the ones they bought was the wrong part, but I was able to get the other one replaced. On the downside, they suggested I leave the driveway by backing down a different way. When I tried, I accidentally ran over a ladder I didn’t see was there.

An expensive ladder.

Lovely.

Oh well… ’tis what ’tis.

On to tomorrow.

Love to all.

Lift the world.
