Thanks, for crossing your fingers for me. Before I left the house this morning to go out and fix cars, I went through everything on my 2020 finance sheet, checking all the notes and everything, and then I sent it off to the accountant.
🥳🥳🥳
The accountant still needs to actually do all the paperwork and submit my taxes and whatnot, but… I’m no longer behind in those areas of my taxes! I’m… working on the current year’s tax records now! 🥳
Lights and tunnels and stuff. Wahoo. 🙂
So, what did I do today?
I started in hot and heavy on 2021. 🙃 I got the sheet all laid out, and now I’m just going through everything, just like the other years. There’s a lot of work to be done for 2021. It’ll take a good little while like 2019 and 2020 did, but it’ll be less time than those. 2019 was the worst. 2020 a bit better, and 2021 should be even better, since my record keeping was much much better.
So I started digging in today. In addiction to laying out the finance spreadsheet, I verified all the checks I received for the year, verified how much I paid my merchant processing company in fees, and started going over my processing record sheet to make sure what’s on my main finance sheet matches the Square report sheet. That’s the next step.
Lots of big steps to get it all done, but… making good, solid progress!
After turning in 2020, I headed out to work. I had a bunch of cars on the schedule, but I called it a day after four easy cars. I was just… done for the week. First car was a no start that turned out to be a drained battery. Second car was what she thought was a misfire that turned out to be a transmission issue (either dirty fluid [it was very dirty] or a bad torque converter, I think. I’m leaning toward her having a bad torque converter, despite the fluid being dirty. Third car was a no start that was a bad battery, and the fourth car was a misfire that turned out to be a big job misfire that I said I could do next week, or they could try and get it done faster at a latino shop, which would also be cheaper. I called the owner of the latino shop on his cell and made an appointment for them on Monday, so they’ll get done quickly and cheaper than I’d be doing for them, and I won’t have to deal with a car I don’t want to deal with.
After that, I came home and started on 2021. I’ve made decent progress on that for the time I’ve put in. I’m probably going to take a break from tax stuff until Monday, spending my Sunday working on my modern English project.
Anyway, hope y’all enjoyed your Saturday. My love to you all.
Lift the World.
