Hiya, folks! 🙂
Happy Saturday!
Let’s see… I took it a bit easier today. Well… maybe i didn’t take it easier: Maybe the day took it easier on me?
I did four cars. The first was a warranty starter replacement for a job I did in January of 2021. Second job was… what was it… uh… Right, second job was a no start on a 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe. Turned out to be bad ground, so I scraped away the paint, so that it was metal on metal for the ground. I used my power wire brush tool to grind the paint away. I accidentally ground a bit more away than I meant to, and not only that, but I accidentally shredded some small wires, so… that wasn’t fun. I ended up having to do extra repairs that probably took 30-45 minutes more than the job should have taken, but that was that.
Third job was putting a new headlight bulb in for a 2017 Dodge Ram truck (not as easy as it used to be with vehicles, but not really that hard either. Last job was… oh… what was it… Oh yeah, issue with a battery cable that I couldn’t reproduce, so I just cleaned everything off, made sure it was all tight, checked for resistance in the ground cable, helped him figure out why his auxiliary jack wasn’t working (blown fuse), and headed home, where I let Hunter borrow my torque wrench really quickly, chatted with him a bit, and then headed home.
Mindy has been warming up to me more lately (our dog that is afraid of everything). She’s getting less and less afraid, and she’s grown more and more happy to receive scratches at my hands.
I spent a good little bit of time chipping away at the refund messages for accidental overcharges over the last 3 years. Lots and lots and lots of people to communicate with. That’s what happens when you don’t check the sales tax address before billing. That’s also what happens when someone else takes payment for you. So yeah, chipping away at it. Every person who’s replied so far, except one, has said not to worry about the overcharges (which have ranged from $0.04 to like $14.
Feels funny sending messages years later about $0.04. But my blasted honesty bone is like… well… It’s not right. Needs to be right. Sometimes I don’t like my honesty bone. Think I wrote that a few days ago. Still true. But sometimes I like it, too.
Anyway, almost 11:30. Heading to bed shortly.
Love and hugs to all.
Lift the World.
Go Ukraine!
