Hola, peeps!
Happy Monday. 🙂
I’ve been dragging for a couple of days now, just tired, not having much luck getting motivated. I’m lonely. That’s been weighing a little bit, I think. I’m sure that’s played a pretty good part in the dragging feeling.
It was also really cold today, made that much colder by a strong wind. After our nice warm spell, the temperature plummeted. I went out with shorts and my heavy sweatshirt, but during the first job, with the wind chilling quickly, I realized that wasn’t quite enough, so I put my work pants on. That wasn’t enough either, and I got cold enough for my face to freeze up a bit (making it slightly harder to speak).
So… after doing that first job (which turned out to be just bad battery cable connections with a decent bit of resistance that needed cleaning up), I called it for the day and went home. I didn’t want to stay working in the cold, and i hadn’t promised anyone else for sure today–telling them today or tomorrow, so that means a busy busy day tomorrow, but whatever. It’ll be a lot warmer tomorrow, supposedly, so I’ll call it a win.
I spent a good bit of time working on the little projects I’m trying to finish by this coming Monday. What a dream it would be to have it all done by then… this long, dark, awful tunnel I’ve been in for… years now. How nice it will be to have all of it done and gone.
Looking forward to it.
The dragging is bad timing, though. 🙃 Hard to get up the motivation to keep slogging through this stuff, but I’m doing it. I’m slogging through. Right now, I’m recalculating 34 months of sales tax submissions to the state because… well… they’re not accurate. Mostly in my favor, I hope, but lots of stuff needed to be fixed both directions.
Anyway, it’s a quarter past midnight. Time for bed.
My love to all y’all.
Lift the World.
