So… it was an interesting day today. I got a call from a guy this morning who drove through a big puddle and his truck died. Based on his description, I was worried he might have ruined his engine. I went out there to look at it, and after quite a while, sure enough, it was ruined. His life is in the process of changing significantly, as he’ll be going to truck driving school, so he didn’t want to deal with trying to sell it for more or anything. With him owing me $350 for the work I did to get to the point of seeing if it was going to be okay, he decided he just wanted rid of the truck, so I ended up buying it from him for $750.
It’s a really nice-looking 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7 2WD–bright red. Needs a motor, of course, so it’s… another project. I kind of didn’t want to buy it and kind of did, but he was selling it for such a low price, and it was sort of doing him a favor, that I went ahead and bought it and had it towed to my house. So… after the tow, I’m in it $830.
It rained all day today, so I didn’t get any other jobs, as several canceled, and I didn’t want to be out in the rain really any longer.
Anyway, I don’t know if I mentioned it yesterday. I had a small amount left in my Fidelity trading account, and so I took a trade yesterday and made like $5ish. I did the same today and made another $6ish.
Two green days. 🙃
Should be able to trade for the first time on my new trading platform tomorrow. We’ll see how that goes. I’m going to take it slow, as it’s a completely new setup, and I want to feel really comfortable entering and exiting trades before I start buying and selling larger share sizes. So I’ll start off with like… 1 share, buying and selling until I get comfortable with how it works. So there you go. Time to go to bed. G’night all.
