Hiya, folks. 😊
Super tired. Woke up early. Couldn’t fall back asleep. Only did two cars today, but it was still a very long day. First car was a 2003 Mercury Sable that was dying when turning and trying to accelerate. I got there, and it was misfiring on cylinder 1, so I had to figure that out first. In process of working on that, I noticed that the tranny dipstick was half out and that there was tranny fluid all over the top of the tranny. So… that would explain the main reason I was called out there.
Anyway, found that the misfire was caused by a spark plug wire that had been too close to hot metal for too long and had hardened and cracked, such that the spark was jumping from the wire to metal and keeping the engine from firing properly.
Anyway, replaced the wire, added tranny fluid. Problems solved.
Second car was a 2002 Toyota LandCruiser that needed new CV axles. 7-hour ish job, and it took me… 7 hours. 9.3 billable hours today, so that was nice.
Came home and helped unpack a big moving van until a little after midnight. Here I am. Really tired. Hot today. Super humid. Came home from the moving van stuff rather soaking wet from humidity/sweat.
Nasty night. Guess summer is coming early. Think it was mid 80s today. Hope we get a long cool down, but it’s May, so… can’t have my hopes too high.
Gonna be another busy day tomorrow. Loaded schedule, I believe. I’m sort of in a daze, I think. Been really tired. Sort of just… floating along?
Time for bed. Good night, all.
