Forgot to publish this last night. Internet went out, so here’s what I wrote last night:
Hola, folks. Happy… Tuesday? Wait, no, Wednesday!
Replaced the alternator in a 2009 Honda Pilot this morning with a good Denso one. Started raining pretty good toward the end, but I had my popup tent thingy, so I set that up and stayed mostly dry–during the first job, anyway.
Next was the Odyssey alternator that I was having to experiment a little bit with. In the middle of a pretty nasty downpour, but with my canopy set up, I installed a remanufactured Bosch brand alternator. I got a tad wet but not soaking wet, and gratefully, the alternator seemed to do just fine, so that was good.
I headed home after that and chatted with my mom a bit before someone else called asking for a battery for their 2008 Toyota 4Runner. They said they were only 5 miles away, but Google took me like 25 minutes away.
Ugh.
Funny… when I finally made it there, they guy said another person had the same issue trying to get out there.
You know, if you live out in the middle of nowhere, and you know Google might send someone to the wrong place, it might be nice if you let them know.
