Just passed Kearney, NE. Been driving all night. It’s about 5:35 a.m. My mom is trying to sleep in the seat next to me.
Sort of an impromptu trip. My aunt has had some major health issues and is in the ICU, so we’re meeting my sister in Nebraska and then heading to Utah.
I’m ready to sleep. Just gonna drive a little longer until it’s light, so my mom is better able to take over (eyes don’t work as well at night even you get older).
Sun is coming up, though. Sunrise in the next 30 minutes, I think.
After deciding to go, I was all set until I realized I still had that brake job less than half done. 😬
So I went over in the nasty heat, finished the front pads and rotors job, packed, showered, packed some more, and here we are.
On the road again.
