I was supposed to be in bed a good while ago. 🙃

Not much to say today. 5 cars. It was supposed to storm all day today, but gratefully, I only got sprinkled on. Malaki stayed home after a long day yesterday and the expected thunderstorms, so I was flying solo.
First car was a crank, no start Ford truck. It had the super common Fuse 27 issue (the fuse burns up because of a bad design. Ford actually sells a relocation kit for that fuse. Kind of funny). Second car was a Kia Soul that had been broken into. I guess there’s a TikTok challenge enticing people to break into Kia Souls. They give step-by-step instructions for how to do it. Poor girl. Fortunately, the people who tried to break into her car only did superficial damage. I was able to get it going again (it wasn’t starting). Car #3 was a Fiat 500 that was a no crank, no start after the customer replaced the battery but hooked it up backwards. I found two blown fuses and got the car started, but it had a bad alternator (apparently the original issue). I’ll go back and do the alternator on Thursday. Fourth car was a Dodge Dakota that blew a radiator hose. I put a new hose on, filled the system and it still was overheating super quickly. It’s acting like a blown head gasket (fan working, not taking more coolant, thermostat opening just fine, pressurizing insanely quickly, and getting hot super fast). Last job, long time customer and one of his fleet vans. Had a 2010 Ford E250 with an engine tick. Got there, and it wouldn’t start. So, I had to get that figured out first. Finally got it going and found it had a super bad rod knock–engine blown.
That was… the day. I stayed and chatted with him for a while. He’s having some serious health issues. I’m trying to get him to Mayo Clinic.
Went home and just… rested mostly. I should have slept, but I didn’t. I am now, though.
