So… I’ll have a couple of days “off” before going back at it on Tuesday.
It’s funny that it’s even worth mentioning, but I so often, pretty much always, have everything scheduled on the day of the holiday before I even remember that it’s a holiday. So… progress!
Another busy day today. 8 cars. Maleki was on his own all day. He sort of did 3 + 2… quickies, one that he chose not to charge for (I’m glad I have someone like him who wants to pay it forward, help people out, etc. Good kid). I did three cars as well. One really big job and two quickies.
I don’t really want to explain everything in detail about what was done. Suffice it to say, it was a busy day. I’m proud of Maleki. Got a lot of car stuff done. Got some laundry done. Did a bunch of vacuuming. Cleaned up the kitchen. Just generally… tried to make the house a bit nicer for my mom’s return.
And succeeded.
Tired. Gonna sleep until I wake up. No alarm tomorrow. Got a lot of thinking and stuff to do tomorrow in the hopes I can come to some decision about where I’m going to live.
- I’m grateful to have had the really big job turn out well in the end. Man, it was a pain in the butt, but it’s done.
- I’m grateful that the clothes I accidentally left in the washer didn’t really stink of mildew. So… that’s nice.
- I’m grateful that I can go to sleep tonight and not have to wake up to my alarm.
- I’m grateful to have remembered to give the things to Maleki that I needed to today and get the things from him I needed to get.
- I’m grateful that I’m remembering to do my gratitude thing and that I have the willingness to do it.
