It’s 11:35 p.m. right now, and I’m currently driving back from Springfield Missouri with the second of the two vans that I purchased on sunday.
Thank you, to my wonderful mother, who volunteered to accompany me on this later-evening excursion.
I’m pretty tired. My eyes are heavy and grainy, it’s been a long day. I’m ready to eat a little bit of food and crash into bed.
Gratefully, this little junker has made it most of the way thus far. Has a broken exhaust, a wheel bearing I can hear that’s bad, really crappy steering and suspension, and awful brakes.. among other things. But it’s rolling down the road under its own power without any check engine light at the moment.
Did I mention that I’m tired? 🙃
Pretty cruddy day, car wise today. Took me a lot longer than I wanted to transfer all of my stuff over from one van to the next. I finally got it done and realized just how amazing it is to have a van with shelves. The van I drove around today that I picked up from Springfield yesterday is long, as it’s like a 15 passenger van, but it has no shelves at all, so even though it’s got nearly double the cubic space, everything has to sit on the floor, so it’s worse than my other van. It’s also manual door locks and windows which is a pretty big nuisance for as much as I need to be in and out of my car locking and unlocking the doors, but that’s fine.
Really great to even have the van to use today, though. Even with the significant inconveniences of having this van without shelving isn’t even really close to me having to work out of a pickup truck. So, I’m grateful that I have vans to use right now while my Ford is down with the bad tranny.
I do miss my Ford right now. But that’s okay. Though the Ford is a much more comfortable and efficient ride at the moment, it’s also true that it was nice to not have to stop off to get gas on the way home today since these vans are gasoline powered.
Tough day today. But it’s over.
I would write more, but I just got home, and I’m not feeling well at all. I’m way over the edge.
* poison ivy foot just keeps getting worse. It’s awful right now. Huge interconnected blisters that make it feel like I’m walking on cushions.
Oh, they can itch. 😶 That’s pretty miserable, honestly, but it’s an experience.
Blisters between toes.
Ugh.
* Ordered more tree service stuff, and some of it arrived today.
Mom’s making us midnight dinner. She’s an angel. 😇
My love to all of you. 😊
