It’s amazing how busy I’ve made my life. So many things going on. I’m swimming constantly.
It’s pretty nutty.
But right now, I’m just dead dog tired, so I’m gonna summarize the day in bullets and call it good for tonight.
- Malaki got a call while he was on his first job that his daughter had stopped breathing and turned blue all over her body, so he spent the rest of the day in two different hospitals as they trying and figure out what’s going on with their little girl. Rough stuff. Very rough stuff.
- I did two cars–a 2012 Ford Focus that was overheating. Turned out to have a leaky heater hose. The dealer was the only place to get that hose, and it was in another state, so I managed to find a way to put it on for her and make it work, so she could at least drive it–with the understanding that it was a jimmy-rig fix with no warranty and lots of disclaimer. But it seems to be working just fine for her, and hopefully it will for a long time to come.
- While we were discussing what to do with her car, she mentioned the bills she has coming up, including having to take out a tree that’s dead and leaning over hear house. 🙃 Really?!?! Little me is starting a tree service company, and this job just falls in my lap. How cool is that?!?! She had a bid for $1700 to do the two trees, and I told her we were just starting out, so we need the work and would do it for less, and she asked if we’d do it for $1200, and I said yes, so… we have another potential job for when we start actually doing this a week or two from now. I’m getting a bit more hopeful that we’ll be able to get it to the point that Stevie will be able to get enough jobs to cover his salary while I’m gone. It’s not necessary, but it would be nice for sure. Hopeful. 😊
- Did servicise this morning for the first time in a long time, gathering up all the branches I cut off the tree I chopped down a couple of weeks ago. I was going to burn it, but we have a burn ban that the county lady said she thought might even be state wide. Yeah… we’re in a really bad drought.
Time for bed. Exhausted.
Love and hugs. 😊
