Time is rushing by at 90mph, and I’m scrambling a good bit. Today was a day where i felt like i got pretty much nothing done, which, given what’s going on right now, isn’t the greatest, but oh well.
Tried to do a car in the morning, but it wanted a bolt replaced that i didn’t have, so I white-flagged it, and I’ll do it later.
Then i went to the hand specialist, and what did she tell me?
I’m one for one.
She said the x-ray people got it wrong. No broken bones. So I’m back to having no answers, as usual. I was happy it was broken. I at least finally had an answer for once, but nope. False alarm.
Imagine the uproar of 90% of the time you took your car to the doctor they said nothing was wrong and couldn’t fix anything but still charged you massive fees for looking at it.
The overwhelming majority of the time, doctor’s can’t find anything wrong. I’ve had to do my own diagnostics, find the issue, and then point the doctor right at it, and then magically, yes, that’s the issue.
I’m about ready to say doctor’s are all but useless.
Ugh.
Such a waste of money and time–except it’s just being responsible with your body to seek help for medical issues.
Ugh.
Rocks and hard places.
Next job was a nightmare. Volkswagen. That’s probably enough to explain it, but good golly. Why do i hate them? Well, one example would be today. Needed to replace a strut. Well, can you believe that in order to do that, they have 4 different styles of fasteners? The caliper guide pin bolts, those were Allen-head bolts. Tie rod end? Torx bolts. Sway bar link and pinch bolts? Triple square. Haven’t heard of triple square bolts? Yeah, thank the Germans.
Oh, and regular 6-point bolt heads. Oh! And the axle bolt was a 12-point bolt (different than triple square).
It’s just… ridiculous. Not to mention i had to beat the snot out if the knuckle to get the strut off and then back on, removing it serval times.
Tough day.
At least i got the “overheat” issue fixed on my truck (put in a new temp sensor).
Past 1 a.m. again.
(sigh)
Scrambling.
Wish i could must spend more time just talking with people. Had a lovely little conversation with a lady with stage-4 cancer. Great lady.
So much stress. Gotta get that fixed.
Time for bed.
