So… Despite being crazy tired, with with only a handful of hours of sleep over the last 3 days, of course little me doesn’t go to bed until 3:30 in the morning.
… which this time meant that I didn’t even get up until 1:00. 🙃
I definitely needed the sleep, but I suppose it would have been a little smarter to go to bed a little earlier. Probably would have helped a little bit with the jet lag. Might not even have noticed the jet lag had I just gone to bed at a good hour. 🙃
In fact, I guess if you haven’t slept that much at all, probably shouldn’t even call a jet lag. It’s just… lag. 🙃
Anyway, I got up late, and having seen that the yard was covered in leaves from the fall, and realizing that the grass underneath was dying a little bit because it had been a warm winter so far, I went to start the lawn mower, but it wouldn’t start.
So I diagnosed it as a likely bad starter, unfortunately, because I had bought a parts mower a while back, I had a starter to swap it with. The old starter was still functional-ish, but it would make a pretty unhappy noise. So I swapped in the donor starter, had to jump it to get it going, but I was off like a herd of turtles driving around the yard in concentric circles until all the leaves were chopped into little bits.
In some places, the lawn mower created a pretty good size pile of leaves, but just running over that same pile over and over and over again, maybe 10 times, was enough to chew the leaves up into tiny enough bits that you didn’t really notice them much anymore. So that was good. 🙂
I didn’t get it all finished, but I got most of it done. The main areas in the front in the back. I still have to get the back parking area and the strip on the other side of the driveway done, but I’ll have to wait for a little while longer for that.
What else… I worked on sorting through all the mail I got while I was gone. Got the trash and the recycling stuff loaded up in the van to be ready to take into the different places it needed to go.
I did some online errands and whatnot, getting sales tax stuff finished and turned in for my Haven Hill Tree Service business, I think. And i think I watched a movie. 🙂
I think maybe I’ve been so tired that I just don’t really remember. 🥱
Anyway, that’s probably all that I’m going to be able to remember for this post.
In other thoughts, I hope one day that I get to have kids. There are so many things I’ve learned that I want to share, so that they have a much stronger foundation regarding life and opportunities and things than I had.
I mean, I don’t have to wait to share those things until I have kids (if I ever even do), but I just… want to share so much. 😊
I’ll do it in this blog, I suppose.
