Dare I hope to get two days in a row? π
I’ve tried pretty hard today to try to get myself back into a good routine, though it started out a bit weakly (I slept in).
Instead of diving off right into the day, I took time to do some morning gratitude. Here’s the result:
Morning Gratitude:
- I’m grateful that though i got up late today, I chose to sit my but down and start with writing about what I’m grateful for. π
- I’m grateful to have warm clothes to wear in a cold house.
- I’m grateful that my sleeping bag keeps me warm from the waist down while sitting in my recliner doing online stuff.
- I’m grateful to have two screens to multitask with.
- I’m grateful it’s been a little warmer the last couple of days.
- I’m grateful to have healthy food to eat, even if I’m not very good at eating it.
- I’m grateful my hair grows back (though I have for years wanted to do a dating experiment with different patterns of baldness π. I’m just not… quite ready to pull the trigger).
- I’m grateful to have lots of equipment with which to do the projects, to-do-list items I want to do.
I spent some time stretching and meditating a little bit, and then I went out and started knocking out some of the things on my to-do list.
I texted one of my Hill nephews to see if he might have any recommendations for lenders nearby. He’s purchased a few properties in the last couple years or so, so my Hill brother thought he’d be a good resource for me and recommended I give him a shout. I’m still waiting to hear back.
I got the generator started and ran it for a little while to make sure it’s getting exercised decently regularly.
I spliced together and soldered the connections on our skill saw. The cord has been chewed up pretty good for years, but the last time I tried to use it, it was sparking and shorting out, so I cut out the chewed up piece, ordered a soldering kit, is all three of my soldering irons don’t work anymore, and after a bit of frustration because I made a mistake soldering that made it 10 times harder, I finally was able to get it soldered together and fixed. So it’s back in its box, and the skill saw is fully functional once again.
I took the trash up to the dumpster only to realize that the dumpster was completely jam-packed full because apparently the garbage people haven’t come for the last two weeks, even though my Hill brother and sister have been paying for them to come.
Go figure.
One of my Hill sisters will call on Monday to try and get that straightened out, as the garbage is sticking out the top of the dumpster now.
I got the hose and sprayer returned that my Hill brother lent to me to keep one of the bonfires under control.
I spent probably an hour or so hanging out with one of my hill sisters, just talking about life and everything that’s going on. I’m going to see if there are some things that I can do to lighten her load, as it’s… heavy right now.
What else, I cleaned out my pickup truck and got the tires all aired up properly, so that Stevie can use the truck tomorrow to do the little tree job in Pea Ridge.
I’m having a really hard time getting back in the groove. I really need to get into the groove because so many things are going… sideways, but I’m really struggling to get my groove on.
But hey, I’m making progress. π
So that’s a quickie post for today. π Two days in a row. Oh! And I started getting my 5×5 going again. π
Progress. πͺπ
Love and hugs. π
