2023-05-30 — Taxes! ðŸ˜¬

Tuesday was just a normal work day.

First car was a 2008 Mazda tribute that he said was making an awful noise before it died and wouldn’t restart.

I checked the oil, and nothing was reading on the dipstick, so I started putting oil in it to make sure it was safe enough to start, but the oil started pouring right out the bottom of the vehicle.

So I climbed underneath and saw that it had thrown around through the oil pan. 😬

No fixing that one. Poor guy. The repair costs more than the car would probably be worth even if he put a new motor in it.

After that job, I went and hung out at Nigel’s shop for like 5 hours. Was still having a hard time getting up the desire to work on cars.

Funny, I was totally willing to help him work on the cars he’s got it his shop just to help out, but I don’t want to have my own customers. 🙃

I did a diag of one of the cars for him, and we went out for lunch as well before I headed off to another customer.

I think I got to my next customer about 3:00 or 3:30.

That customer had two vehicles that were down. One of them was a Honda Civic that needed an alternator, so I put that in for them. And the other was the Dodge Durango that needed upper control arms, so I put those in as well.

It started to rain Midway through the job, And I didn’t have my canopy with me, but fortunately, it didn’t rain too hard nor too long. I got wet, but not soaking wet. 🥳

I headed home after that. Property taxes have to be turned in by the 31st, so I spent a while working on property taxes before I was too tired to continue. I think I stopped somewhere around 3:00 in the morning or so.

That was the day, other than dealing with stomach issues more than usual because of the lunch that I had eaten with Miguel. But whatever.

Love and hugs. 😊
