Let’s see, Saturday… What did I do on Saturday?
Breakfast was fantastic waffles with about 80 trillion different topping options with my brother Jared. He’s got this handy dandy waffle maker that pivots like a spit and cooks waffles on both sides at the same time– big big fluffy behemoth waffles.
So good. 🤤
Hmmm… I think that’s the first time I’ve ever used that emoji.
🙃
After breakfast, my mother and I drove up to my brother Richard’s house where we chatted for a good long while, and then Richard helped me figure out why all of my New Zealand pictures looked so crappy on my computer when I transferred them from my phone.
Apparently, I have a crappy computer. 😆
My phone has a much much better screen than my computer does. So the pictures look fantastic on my phone, and they look super crappy on my computer.
But hey, at least I know it’s not any problem with the pictures themselves. And that’s the most important thing!
I spent probably an hour or hour and a half giving them a little bit of a slideshow of the first few weeks of my 2-month trip.
It was fun to reminisce with my brother, because he served his mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints in New Zealand, spending almost 2 years on the North Island itself, so he had been many of the places that I had been.
So I shared my pictures, some stories from the trip, and we both reminisced.
I love New Zealand. 😊
I will be going back. And I’m not going to wait very long. 🙃
We were supposed to go back and do a little hike up the canyon with my brother Jared after we were done visiting Richard and McKinley and family, but we were so late leaving Richard’s that we ended up just watching the first half of Gettysburg.
Jared has food and entertainment down to a science, He’s got a movie theater style popcorn maker that makes the popcorn taste just like you were at the theater , and he had I think they were sweet potato french fries and salted caramel thingies , or whatever they were.
It was all super. 😊
Oh, and I didn’t mention that he had a little bowl with a package of absolutely amazing licorice in the guest bedroom for me. He’s like Mr Host. 😊
So we piled the food around us, and we began watching the fantastic historical classic Gettysburg.
It’s a four and a half hour movie, so it was about midnight or so by the time we finished the first half. So we called it a night and crashed.
Love to all. 🥰
Lift the world.
