I wasn’t doing so well today. We got up in the morning and headed north for about 10 minutes on the freeway before we got to an exit that would allow us to turn around and go all the way back to Centralia.
But we made it back to Centralia and met Mom’s friend Suzi at the Denny’s that’s right off the freeway there. They stayed inside for a few hours or so, well I stayed out in the van. I don’t remember what all I did, online errands, I think, but it was a fairly painful day.
I don’t know if it was because I walked nearly 2000 steps the day before or if it was just random or what, but I was definitely not doing very well physically.
After we finished up in Centralia, we drove up to West Seattle where my mom got together with her old friends Denise and Natalie.
We were there for another 2 or 3 hours, I think, and again, I stayed in the van. I think I did a bunch of stretches and what not trying to reduce the pain. I don’t remember for sure, but I think that’s What was going on. I was also doing some research, I think, into the health issues.
Because of the appearance of our van, I’m definitely put into the stereotypical group of people you need to worry about. It was funny, being parked out in front of Denise and Natalie’s house, when the neighbor came home from wherever it was that he was coming home from, he got out of his car and just stared at the van. Then he walked around to the back to look at the license plate. Then he walked around the front. Just eyeing it extremely suspiciously. I don’t know if he realized that I was actually in the van. The windows are tinted quite darkly, at least most of them.
Anyway, when Mom was finished with her little visit with Denise and Natalie, we headed off toward Leslie’s place just east of downtown Seattle. I took one wrong turn and ended up having to go east all the way under the bridge before making a u-turn in coming back, but we ended up making it right about the time we said we were going to, so it worked out just fine.
Not feeling so well, I wasn’t much of a social conversation contributor, but Leslie and Mom and I chatted for a little while, and Corinne was there for a little bit as well, so we all chatted a little bit here and there, and Leslie made dinner, and then I crashed in the van outside while mom used one of the guest bedrooms inside.
Lift the world.
