2023-11-01 — Thankful November

Happy Thanksgiving month! 😊

In honor of the holiday and the Spirit behind it, it’s my goal to have all my conversations in the month of November with Mr. Big Shot be just expressions of gratitude.

Of course, if I feel inspired to include other things in the conversations, then I will, but that’s my going-in objective.

🤞

Wish me luck.. 🙃

I’m grateful I remembered that today. With as challenging as this last week and a half has been, it easily could have completely slipped my mind.

I’m grateful it didn’t.

I’m grateful to my friend Cory for being here. I wish we lived closer and could spend a lot more time together and in conversation (We definitely can do the ladder over the phone. We used to have gospel conversations all the time before I… lost faith.

Having him arrive today has been quite the boon for helping me to break out of the rut I’ve been in. I started doing a little bit better yesterday, and I’m doing a heck of a lot better today, mostly because of his being there and what that pretty much always means.

We both talk about what we love the most–the gospel, so it’s generally super uplifting.

It’s nice to have gospel conversations. Those are so meaningful for me and fill me up.

As an added bonus, it’s nice to have the narrow vision of the last several days expand to a much broader perspective because of those conversations.

I’m grateful.

I’m also grateful to have spiritual experiences written down that I can go back and read through. They are so good for helping me get grounded again, helping me to return to peace and hope and love and faith instead of wallowing in fear and self-centeredness.

Cory asked me some questions today that got me to go back and read through parts of one of them, and doing so along with engaging in the several different gospel conversations that we had have really made all the difference today.

I’m grateful.

Good day. Great conversation after great conversation, from my house and the garden and lower pasture, to a restaurant for early dinner, to a cemetery, to the Pea Ridge Military Park, and full circle back to my house… nothing but great conversation.

I’m grateful.

Thanks, to the Big Guy. Happy November

Lift the world.
