I’m writing this on the 22nd–early in the morning…
Everything is a blur when I don’t work on cars every day. Each car is a little memory trigger, so the whole day is easy to recap because I have all these little memory triggers that remind me of everything that went on.
But without those memory triggers, it’s all a blur.
The 19th… that was a Tuesday, so that means I was working down at the creek park thingy again, I think. Yeah, that was a day that I spent pretty much the entire day down there… not eating much of anything again. 😅
I’m almost back to my high default high school/mission weight (I was 165 lb as like my default weight, My body would just stay right around there). I think I’m like 168 lb right now?
Oops. 🙃
Must. Eat. More.
Anyway, I spent a good long time working down at the creek. I set up the pressure washer again and pressure washed the sides and back and under sides of the railings. Spent hours doing that, I think.
I started cleaning up all the trash that was around, and I started burning the weeds that I hit accumulated, the vines and such. It’s always a bit of a danger burning those because of the poison ivy. That’s probably why I’ve had a bit of a cough, mucus, and the taste of infection from my lungs on my breath when I cough.
Anyway, I really did get a heck of a lot done down at the creek park today. I got the deck mostly pressure washed. Pretty much all that’s lacking right now is maybe a little bit on the sides and the underside and some of the spaces between the boards, but it’s pretty good.
Gratefully, the color that Liz wants it painted is Bespoke Green, So it won’t matter too much if I miss some algae growth, but I’d rather get it all… That said, it’s all on the underside as well, so… Maybe not all that realistic.
Anyway, I did a lot of pressure washing, I got the trash picked up, I got the weeds burned, Jim helped go along the creek and move all the brush that I’ve been cutting down into two piles, one for firewood, and one to burn.
Jim wanted to expand the area where there are wood chips, so I worked on expanding that for a good little while as well, spreading the wood chips out further, and removing more vines and what not, so still making good progress. Lots to go.
Landon came down, and we chatted for probably 20 minutes or more about what’s going on with his life, and hopes for the property in the future.
Good stuff. I appreciate Landon. He makes me feel wanted and welcome and part of the family on the hill.
I was there until well after dark, and then I grab some food, and then I think I helped Steve with his Honda that he’d left here in the barn.
Another day.
Lift the world.
