2024-02-18 — Haven Hill Vision

Two thirds rough day, last third better day.

I didn’t go to church again. I didn’t do anything useful at all for the first 2/3 of the day. I didn’t go work on greenhouse stuff. I didn’t go work on Haven Hill projects. I didn’t work on non-profit stuff. I just sat there and vegged out and was unhappy with myself for doing it, but just kept doing it.

Today was second Sunday, so it was family meeting up at Jim and Steph’s house.

So I’ve enjoyed family meetings in the past, when I’m in the emotional state that I was in, I didn’t want to go.

But I knew that I should go and that I have a lot I can contribute right now.

So I pride myself out of my recliner and drove up the hill. That effort proved to be the turning point for me in my day, as I started focusing on the creation of the Google sheet that I’ve been working on that outlines the vision and mission and hopes for Haven Hill.

Until today, I had only been working with Jim and a tad bit with Liz about it, but the topic came up during the family meeting, and I let people know that I had already been building the spreadsheet they were suggesting.

After the meeting was over, I spent a good chunk of the rest of the evening visiting with family members and getting some of their feedback and desires and concerns and whatnot.

After hearing what everyone wanted to see happen on the hill, it got me wanting to be able to make it happen for everybody.

I ended up staying up all night, thinking a different times of the night that I should go to bed, and then by 3 something, I was like heck, I might as well just finish staying up all night and try and get back on my schedule and at least do some servicise and whatnot.

So… I’m excited to be able to help getting things moving in a more structured and purposeful direction regarding Haven Hill. Several things on my buy list and several things on the project list to help here on the hill.

Looking to buy a good high PSI pressure washer. Looking to buy a ram pump assembly… Just a couple of many many many…

Lift the world. 😊
