2024-03-03 — Getting to Know Risa

Despite the fact that I feel like it would be better for me if I started turning back to God again, I just can’t get myself to do it.

I didn’t go to church again today. Was it being Jim’s birthday yesterday, I wanted to do something for him. He wanted to get his grow boxes tilled, and I noticed that he hadn’t been able to get it done yet, so I thought it would be cool to go over and till his grow boxes while he was at church.

But the tiller didn’t cooperate. Even though I had just barely used it like a month or two ago, once again, it wouldn’t start.

Seems like the equipment that I have just breaks all the time. My chain saw is down right now, even though it’s a super expensive chainsaw.

Tiller is down. Lawn mower is down. Truck is down. Skid steer needs repair. Excavator needs repair. Floor jack is down.

So many things, that’s only the beginning of the list.

😕

I guess when you have a lot of stuff, you risk having lots of stuff that breaks.

🙃

Anyway, So my attempt at tilling Jim’s grow boxes failed. Maybe I’ll still get a chance…

Having failed in that attempt, I went over and started to try and work on organizing the greenhouse stuff, but in that attempt, I just couldn’t get up the energy. I’m exhausted. I’m not sleeping well.

Zero motivation to work on it.

As I was struggling and frustrated, using a few choice words, Risa opened the door to their house, and shouted hello across the road. That was nice. 🙂

So I walked over, and I chatted with her and Stevie for probably an hour or so. That conversation was the first time I really started getting to know Risa, so that was cool.

Then I headed home and decided to do some work with JustAnswer. I want to make sure that I’m doing a sufficient number of questions so as to keep my job there.

… For now, at least.

They just bumped me up to a higher pay bracket, so I’m making more money working for them now.

🥳

I think the payouts went up about 25%. That’s nice. 🙂

Risa & Stevie came over a bit later so Risa could meet my mom. They stayed for a bit, and I chatted a good bit more with them.

Then I did some more JustAnswer work and went to bed.

Lift the world.
