2024-04-06 (Saturday) — 5 a.m. Fencing

Early day today. Jim wanted to get a fence up around the family garden this year to try and keep critters out and Stevie was going to help, but because of his work schedule, the only time that he was available was at 5:00 a.m., So we planned to get up at 5:00 a.m. and work on the fence.

So Jim and I got up and started working on the fence, but Stevie forgot. 😅

We were able to get the whole area in closed with at least the cattle fencing. It’ll need to have the skinnier field fence stuff attached to it to keep rabbits and whatnot out.

But we made some pretty good progress there.

It was LDS general conference today, but I… I’m not doing well with God stuff right now.

I think I’m more broken than I’ve ever been in my life at this point.

Life’s hard.

Being a Saturday, I spent a good while working on the hill. I think I spent most of my time down by the deck, but I don’t remember for sure. I just know that it was a hill day, probably all or nearly all Haven Hill stuff, and possibly some of my own stuff.

Oh, the other thing we tried to do today was to go out to Gravette to buy some fence that someone was selling. Unfortunately, it turned out to be an absolutely miserable condition. I can only guess at how a chain link fence can be so damaged. I don’t think they were more than two or three single upper fence lines that weren’t badly bent and misshapen. I think it was basically the kind of condition that there’s not really much usable material, so instead of charging someone to buy it, you’re probably going to need to pay someone to take it out. 😅

Anyway, that was that. I wish I remembered more, but I paid the price for not writing sooner.

Lift the world.
