Today was a Haven Hill Creek Park day. I spent the entire day today working down by the deck, doing a whole bunch of weeding, clearing out vines and other weeds trying to get the deck project done.
I was able to get all the brick done that I had on the east side of the deck. Well, it’s almost done. It’s all laid down, I just need to finish putting the dirt against it on the one side. I got all the weeds pulled and the mulch spread.
Stevie helped me a bit with the weeding, and he also got the base for the picnic table relatively level.
I worked for morning until after sundown. I was so dead set on getting the entire project finished, but it wasn’t to be.
Gratefully, I still did make significant progress. It’s actually looking really good. 😊
Sometime around 7:30 or 8:00, I headed up to Jim and Steph’s for dinner, they having invited me over. Everyone had already eaten much earlier, but I went ahead and went over to eat and hang out a little bit.
Crossing my fingers that I don’t get poison ivy. I was into a lot of it, including pulling some of it up with my bare hands. Right after pulling it up, I went and rinsed off in the river, so I figured I would be good, but I’m still crossing my fingers.
I guess we’ll see. 🙃
