Not much to report today. I’m beyond exhausted. I significantly overdid it physically today.
I’ve been wanting to get all of the fence posts put up around the pond area. I said I was going to do that, and I got started, and then it was so hard pounding the posts in, but then it rained, and that made it easier. I should have done more that night that it was easier because the ground was really wet, but I was already exhausted.
Today, after Walmart came to pick up one of the sets of bins that they damaged in the shipping process, I spent the next eightish to 9ish hours, without taking breaks, Landon in t posts and setting up fence around the pond.
It’s getting really hot again, and the ground is drying out. It’s already dried out a whole ton. Very very hard to pound the posts in, but I didn’t want it to get any harder, so I just kept pounding and pounding and working and working all day in the heat. At first, I was doing well staying hydrated, but then I ran out of fluids, and instead of taking a break, I just kept working because I wanted to get it done and I was only functioning off of pure willpower at that point. I was already so exhausted that every effort was a mental exertion trying to get my body to do what needed to be done to do the job.
Not a very smart way to go.
I finally got everything finished, at least to the point of having the pond fenced in with retainers on at least the tops of all the fence sections. Still need to go back and put retainers on all the bottom sections of the fence, but it’s all put up now.
I finished up sometime around 6:45 I think.
I was in really bad shape physically by that point. Body well over the edge and so exhausted that I was hobbling around like 110-year-olds.
It was little James’s birthday today, Landon and Eleanor’s son. First birthday, so I went over for food and festivities.
I ate a little bit, but I was so messed up physically that after eating a little bit, I was n’t in shape to want to stay any longer, so I ducked out of the festivities.
Kind of crappy to eat and run, or eat and hobble as the case was today, but it is what it is. I was feeling pretty crappy.
I went over to Liz’s for a few minutes chatting with her about what I did with the fence so she’d know how to mow it most effectively. I also spent a little time looking at all her new puppies. Her little Frenchie had five babies, and they’re the cutest little things. 🤗
I also availed myself of Liz’s bathroom. 🙃
From there, I went down to my Greenhouse staging area. So absolutely exhausted. All sorts of muscles having spasms and charlie horsing.. clearly way over the edge. Salt crystals running in stripes along my shirt, and amazingly, salt crystals on my arms themselves.
😶
I lost a lot of fluid today and a lot of electrolytes along with that fluid. 🙃
I’m gonna be paying for today… because I’m a genius. 😅
Sat in my truck watching a little bit of live free or die hard… Body totally messed up. Then sat on The trailer that’s attached to my broken down van for a bit. Just taking in the sights and sounds.
My mom showed up, angel that she is, to help me In my depleted state. There wasn’t really any need to come, but she wants to, and I’m grateful that she wants to.
Love you, mama. 😊
After my body come down a bit, I drove to the store and bought food. I already had food, but I bought more. Forgot to buy ibuprofen, though. I thought I had some, but apparently not. My mom suggested that I buy some ibuprofen and take It has a hedge against what will undoubtedly be a very unhappy body over the next few days.
Got back. Had to fend off a very large tick that hitched a ride while I was trying to find ibuprofen.
Had two more run-ins with brown recluse spiders. At least one of them was a brown recluse for sure. It got away before I was able to kill it, hiding in Rover’s driver’s door panel.
That’s comforting.
The second spider was dropping down from the ceiling on a thread, so that one might not have been brown recluse because I don’t think brown recluses do that?
I’ll go look it up. Either way, it’s not very encouraging to have seen yet another brown recluse already.
😕
Living in a vehicle in Arkansas comes with some extra challenges, much more so than living in a vehicle in Utah. 😅
Anyway, I’m lying in bed getting ready to go to bed for the night. It was hot today, so the van is hot. The fan is helping. I’m mostly worried about brown recluse spiders.
Time for bed.
I’m still doing very badly. Broken.
Lift the world.
