(written on the 26th from notes taken on the 25th)
Woke up early today… I think maybe around 6:30 or something?
Didn’t get much sleep.
Was mostly a lazy day, physically. I spent most of the day trying to catch up on my journal posting, having gotten more than 2 weeks behind. ๐
I dictated some inside my sister’s RV trailer. Then I dictated some more outside when my mom came into the trailer.
I walked around a fair bit during the day, and dictated some more.
Didn’t do much in the way of JustAnswer work, but I did have to follow up with a couple of customers who messages.
I think I was able to finish seven catch-up posts over the last 2 days, so that helps a fair bit.
Lots more to go. ๐
I was pretty melancholic today… Lonely. Wanting to connect with Nancy, and I actually did a little bit today. We texted back and forth later in the day.
That was nice. Even if just as friends, it’s… nice.
I was grateful to get in touch with the company that did my MRIs. I’ve been waiting 3 or 4 weeks now for them to get me updated reports because the reports I got seemed fairly significantly incomplete.
I left a message earlier in the day, and then I got a call back from the manager– not just the manager of the location where I had my MRIs done, but the manager of the whole company, So that was cool.
She apologized that somehow my previous request had gotten lost and forgotten about, so she got the details from me and told me that the radiologist/doctor who owns the business would go back over the reports and probably send updated reports either Monday or Tuesday.
๐ฅณ
I’ve been a tad concerned, wanting to make sure that I had good reports and everything ready to go for visit with the surgeon in November.
I’m feeling better now, assuming All the updated reports show up. I was surprised to see the updated report for my lumbar MRI already come in tonight, so that was super cool. ๐ฅณ
All my regular socks are dirty because it’s been… 3 weeks or so since the last time we did laundry? ๐
So I’ve been wandering around the last couple days mostly barefoot on the dirt/gravel road and around the property here.
I spend some time loving on the horses and the old, blind, puppy.
I love animals. ๐ฅฐ
When my sister and brother-in-law got back from work for the day, they decided they wanted to ditch making dinner here and instead go out to eat in town.
On the way into town, with the sun already down and The darkness of the night having set in, we noticed A black pitbull running along the side of the main highway.
๐ฌ
It had a doggy sweater on for warmth, and it had a collar, but no tags or anything.
My sister tried to post something on a Facebook group, but she couldn’t get reception. Funny, because I had reception, and I’m on their same plan with the same company. Not only that, but I was able to use The cell signal that I had to give my sister a wireless hotspot, so she could connect.
Go Google Pixel 7 Pro!
You’ve been smashed after being dropped in the middle of a river.
You’ve been dropped into a fire barrel and scorched nearly to death.
And most recently, you’ve been dropped over a cliff.
And yet, though your entire screen pops out regularly with a simple drop from my pocket to the ground, You continue to serve me well.
Thank you, my little GP7Pro. ๐
I should probably give you a name At this point. ๐
So I called the humane society, run by A wonderful local woman who started it on her own, the only no-kill dog shelter in the area.
She didn’t answer, but I left a message, and my sister posted some pictures on the Facebook group. My brother-in-law called the local sheriff to let them know, because, clearly the dog was upset and scared, and we weren’t quite wanting to do anything that might make it want to bite.
Anyway, My brother-in-law tied a rope around the collar for a leash, and just started letting the dog pull him around. After probably 20 minutes of being pulled around into different places, eventually, the dog got him off the main highway, down a dirt road, and, miraculously, to his owners!
Apparently, they were having a big family get-together, and the dog got out and got away.
Don’t know if it’s going to try that again. It was pretty darn scared.
Hopefully it won’t, at least. ๐ค

Our efforts to find a place to eat dinner we’re not quite as successful. ๐ My mom and I were having flashbacks Cranbrook and our fast food fiasco, as we tried three different restaurants in town that all closed by 7:00.
But I guess at least our drive into town netted potentially saving that poor little pitbull that was running further and further away from home on a 55 mph highway after dark.
So we came home, and my brother-in-law fixed some homemade pizza, which was absolutely fantastic, we chatted for a good while about the political goings-on of this election cycle.
Crazy times.
I needed to move Rover to a different place on the property, as I was going to be in the way for work on the house in the morning, so I grabbed my jump box because the battery run out, jumped over, drove him over to the far end of the horse pasture, wound down a little bit online with the little reception that I could get, and crashed for the night.
Lift the world.
