Habits are interesting things.
I’m completely out of the habit of writing in my journal, but when I hop in Rover, as I just did, to head to town for the first time in, gosh, I don’t even know how long, one of the first things that pops in my brain is to write my journal entry.
Apparently, I got so used to writing my journal entries while driving down the road that that part of my brain gets triggered and says, hey! Write your journal!
I used to be so good at it. Never missing a day😅 Every single night before I went to bed, without fail, even if I had worked a 16-hour day. The habit was ingrained.
So easy to break habits.
So hard to form them.
There isn’t really much to report. I’ve spent the last week and a half, or so, scanning thousands and thousands of business documents, while simultaneously working for JustAnswer.
It’s hard to do both efficiently at the same time, but at least I’ve been able to work while I’ve been doing the mindless scanning.
I finally finished up, I think, as of yesterday. I think all told, I probably scan somewhere around 7500-10,000 documents?
Scanner didn’t give me any issues until the last maybe 20 pages, amazingly. And fortunately, I was able to get it to work well after restarting it.
Hopefully I didn’t wear it out too much. 😅
But now that I have all of those documents scanned, I now have a passenger front seat again in Rover. 🥳
I’m here on Haven Hill burning everything while simultaneously cleaning the woods out and exercising.
Got my little butt up to 190 lbs somehow. Haven’t been that heavy since probably 2019, or so, when I got up to 203 lb, my heaviest ever.
So, I’m here on Haven Hill trying to burn some calories so that I can get back to my normal 175 to 180, to get fitted for my tux in time for the wedding in January. I figure I’ll be back to my normal weight by January, anyway, so I don’t really want to get fitted now only to be back to my normal size then. 😅
Hopefully I can burn through this extra pudge in the next week or two.🤞
Usually it’s pretty easy for me to lose weight, but I don’t usually gain it this quickly, either, so I think my metabolism has finally slowed down to middle-aged man level. 🙃
…
I’m back at my mom’s driveway in Rover for the night. Just passed 10:30.
I was able to burn all the documents, or at least get them all in the burn barrel. It’ll probably take a little while for them to all burn down because I didn’t bother trying to break them up from being in their thick stacks, so it’ll take a good while for them to actually burn through. Probably going to require stirring up the burn barrel periodically.
I’ll be back out there tomorrow.
Made some good progress cleaning up the woods as well. Back to the servicising. And I added push-ups and sit-ups to my servicising.
Every time I would drag a load of branches from the woods to the burn barrel, I would stop and do some push-ups and sit-ups, and check my JustAnswer feed.
I was able to get I think maybe 10 questions answered while I was out there working on forest stuff and exercising.
I think I’m at 14 right now, so I need one more to reach the normal daily goal. 🤞
I’m hoping the exercising might help my spine issues. Last night was absolutely miserable. I was up much of the night changing position after position after position with a grand total of zero positions that didn’t exacerbate symptoms to the point of significant discomfort.
Finally, I was able to crack my lower spine back into place enough to take pressure off the nerves at that spot, at least, and so I was able to finally fall asleep and get decent rest for the rest of the night.
Not much else to say.
Lift the world.
