(written on the 3rd from notes taken previously)
Definitely didn’t get enough sleep last night. Just… stayed up too late.
With rain coming, and with my stuff spread out from the dump trailer being uncovered, and with rain already having soaked some of my possessions in the dump trailer, I really wanted to get the shed fix finished and all my stuff put inside.
So according to the weather, I was going to have maybe an hour or two before the rain started, but as I got going to get the last of the foundational boards put in place, the rain began falling an hour early. Fortunately, it was a light rain with small drops, so I put my tools inside the shed so as not to get them wet, but I kept right on working to try and get the shed repair completed.
I did my online work all while working on the shed and whatnot, so that was good. Need to work more, as I haven’t done much work this month, having been demoted and then discouraged and whatnot.
I got all my stuff loaded into the shed, greatly. It’s not organized extremely well, but at least it’s out of the rain for now. 🥳
I’m going to see if I can get it organized before I head out on my trip.
So much to do.
I spent a little while down at the creek working on my little beautification pet projects.
I started changing my oil, only to realize that I didn’t have the extra oil filter that I thought I had, so I had all the oil drained out of my van but no filter. 😅
Fortunately, although the trailer was still attached to it, and I didn’t want to make the effort to remove it only to put it right back on, I did have my truck, so I drove my truck and trailer in to town, but oil and a filter, headed back, and replaced the filter and finished the oil change.
Since I already had been driving my truck and trailer around a little bit, I loaded up to long metal gates that have been in the way of mowing for… years. I also loaded up a big long piece of PVC pipe that I uncovered while trying to fill in a really low spot by the spring pond.
I put the gates where all the rest of the extra fencing is, and drop the pipe off next to the carriage Barn where there’s already so much stuff that needs to be sorted through and either kept and stored or thrown away.
I kept doing online work, a bit of a victory for me getting my little butt back working again.
Went over to Jim and Steph’s again to watch a little bit of March madness with them, before calling it a night.
Gratitude:
- I’m grateful to have multiple vehicles, so I could drive my truck to Pea Ridge to get oil and an oil filter
- I’m grateful that the rain that came was light and not long-lasting, so I was able to get the last of the subframe done.
- I’m grateful that I have a 5 lb sledgehammer, or however much it weighs, that allowed me to bang the subframe on the side back into place despite having the entire weight of that side of the structure, along with all the contents inside, pushing it crooked.
- I’m grateful that the oil change has been completed and that my oil filter wrench at least kind of fit the filter, after I put it on way too tightly in Canada. 😅
- I’m grateful for my Haven Hill family
Success:
- I stopped myself at least once today when I normally would have let my vocabulary shrink a fair bit. 😅
Improvement:
- A little bit of junk food today 😅
Lift the world.
