2025-04-05 (Saturday) — Oh Yeah, Some of It’s Beautiful!!!

(written on the 7th from notes taken previously)

I woke up to a cold morning, which I kind of enjoyed.

Blue sky, desert shrubs, and red rock all around.

I forgot how beautiful this area is. 😊

I started north with the intention of just driving straight on up to Utah/Salt Lake county, and then I noticed an arch on Google maps and suddenly remembered that I could stop and enjoy the scenery. πŸ™ƒ

So I went to Wilson Arch, then Looking Glass Arch, then I went over to Faux Falls. Listened to General Conference for the first time in a long time. Chatted with one of my brothers while walking over toward Faux falls.

I tried to drive my van on the four-wheel drive road, but had to give up or risk bottoming out badly. πŸ˜…

If I were driving a Prism, then I would totally do it. πŸ™ƒ

But not in Rover.

I did some work for JustAnswer, hoping to be able to meet whatever requirements are needed to maintain my payout level. Really frustrating that there is no concrete information about that.

Decided to drive down Cane Creek Road along the Colorado River for a little ways to see if there were any vistas that I might be interested in looking at. I did see a pretty cool petroglyph, but not much else.

I wish I had someone to share the beautiful scenery with.

In talking with one of my brothers, he mentioned that he had lots of home projects that he was wanting to get done before a potential visit out of town, so I suggested maybe helping him with his home projects to make it easier or more realistic to do the trip out of town he was thinking about doing, so I didn’t stop to look at anything else, none of the national parks or anything, just headed north.

I ended up listening to all three sessions of General Conference, stopped by Discovery Park in Pleasant Grove area for sentimental reasons, got gas at the Walmart in Herriman, and headed to my brother’s place.

Gas

Originally, Richard was wanting to work on some tiling stuff, or something like that, in the basement bathroom, but when I got there, he was working on sprinkling system stuff. I helped him very an electrical cable, and then I helped him design the setup for the electrical box, and we got it partially installed before heading to Lowe’s to buy more parts.

Didn’t do any work really after that. Ate some dinner that McKinley had made, and then chatted a bit, and then I headed over to Rover to sleep for the night.

Gratitude:

  • I’m grateful that I was able to make it all the way to my brother’s place from New Mexico after figuring out the exhaust issues.
  • I’m grateful for the beauty of the Moab area
  • I’m grateful to feel maybe a bit more peaceful and calm after listening to conference.
  • I’m grateful to have been able to string a little bit longer clean time together.
  • I’m grateful to be able to help my brother with his house stuff

Success:

  • I listened to conference πŸ™ƒ

Improvement:

  • Distracted driving πŸ˜…

Love to all…

Lift the world.
