Tired.
Woke up. Had a pretty successful morning routine, one of my most successful.
Spent a good while sorting hay. Hans had brought in the big round bale from the pasture, and he’d removed the outer crappy layer of hay from it.
Not along with the crappy layer, a lot of good hay also sluffs off, so I spent probably an hour or so separating the bad from the good, not to mention dealing with the horses having decided to pee and poo in it multiple times.
Apparently, they do that because they don’t like splash back peeing on the bare dirt.
And apparently, they have no concerns that they’re going to run out of food, so they’re happy to pee and poo in their food.
๐
Anyway, once I got that all separated, and the hay put into bin and covered with the little rope dealies, Hans and I slid them out into the horse walkway.
Then we diagnosed the brake noises on Heather’s Jetta (needs rear pads). Then I diagnosed the leak on the Kubota hydraulic line.
Drove into town to pick up my solar panels and microwave, USPS having not even attempted to deliver either.
๐
Why Amazon sent those packages USPS when they generally send vans directly to the house boggles my mind. USPS won’t deliver those.
That’s not his service by Amazon.
Made a bean smoothie, sharing it with Hans, who seemed to give it his seal of approval, asking for some more. ๐
Spent pretty much the rest of the day, while Hans and Heather were up north, trying to clean out and better organize my van, now that I’m adding more stuff. ๐
Worked at it and worked at it and worked at it and felt like I didn’t really get much accomplished at all. ๐
Oh well.
I gave a worthy effort. I just hate feeling like I’m wasting my time.
One of those things I am working on–being ok when precious life seems to be wasted.
After getting hot and sweaty and working long hours on Rover, I swung by JH Keith Park and took a bath/dip.
That was really nice. I haven’t done that since Monday. ๐
Came home and finished off the last of my cheese, added to a can of “red hot chili beans,” some sauerkraut, and some jalapeรฑos.
I then spent a long time trying to clean up my mess enough to have a bed to sleep in.
Now it’s almost 12:30 a.m.

Gratitude:
- I’m grateful that out of all the hay on the ground, maybe only 1/4 to 1/3 was lost to waste.
- I’m grateful I had my floor jack, as the Jetta shifted on Hans while he was getting it lifted up, and I had to quickly grab my jack to rescue him.
- I’m grateful I was able to find the hydraulic leak on the tractor.
- I’m grateful the post office was slow, so I only had to wait a couple of minutes to get everything done and picked up.
- I’m grateful I was able to connect with my other friend Matt today. I’d called him yesterday or the day before, but we are all set now.
- I’m grateful I was able to make at least a bit of progress on Rover.
- I’m grateful I had a decently successful morning routine today.
- I’m grateful it’s getting closer to Monday, which means closer to being able to go back to the temple. ๐
Success:
- I’m remembering to work on my attitude to acknowledge and be grateful for uncomfortable blessings.
Improvement:
- Definitely could be more cheerful when things take forever/go sideways.
Thought of the Day:
In your patience, possess ye your souls.

Hand of God In My Life Today:
Going over things Heavenly Father told me in the past, I still find myself a bit mind blown by how powerful and… perfect some of the counsel and direction is.
Lift the world.
Bring it on.
