(written on the 19th and 23rd)
Slept in late again… Think I got up somewhere around 7:15 or so.
Saw Heather off to work and then chose to doom scroll YouTube or FB Reels, or both, don’t remember for sure, for… a good long time. 😕
The demotion affected me more than I thought it was going to. It’s just… demoralizing and… it gets that justice bone all riled up.
Got myself some breakfast.
Spent a good little while working on cleaning the concrete spills off the foundation of the house. Made some good progress there.
Chatted with Heather a bit. She came home early because she had a work thing she had to drive to later, and so we chatted about the house and whatnot for a good little while, chatting about
Chatted with Heather and Hans for a bit.
Watched some uplifting videos.
Headed to the creek to work on my little soaking pool after a long, hot day. Ended up staying at the creek until like 8ish? 😅
Made some significant progress on the depth of the pool in one section of the pool, which was kind of fun. 🙂
Finally, headed out on my drive toward Casper for Temple Tuesday, getting to my stopping place about 11ish, I think.
Not doing as well as I’d like. The demotion thing just bled over into everything, I think, and though I’m making progress on the soaking pool, I’m just wanting it to be done at this point because it was meant to be a fun little side thing to enjoy, and it’s taking so long. Was just trying to find a place to be able to go to ponder in solitude that was in nature and not hot.
Also learned today that something is up with my solar setup. I’m getting significantly fewer watts coming through since the redesign, so maybe I’ve damaged the panels fairly significantly more than it seemed, or maybe I’ve damaged the cables, or both, or something else is up maybe… not sure. 🤷
The peak output was like 125, middle of the day, cloudless sky. Should have been 160-200. 😕
So that wasn’t so exciting.
Waiting on my visa application results. Says the application has been verified to have everything it needs, so it’s just a waiting game now to see what they say about whether or not they’re ok with me going.
Gratitude to My Father:
- I’m grateful to have been able to get the foundation stuff done that I did.
- I’m grateful to have been able to have a hopeful, encouraging conversation about the house with Heather.
- I’m grateful to have been able to make it to my stopping place for the night.
- Though late to bed, I’m grateful to not be driving into the sun for 3 hours, which is the norm every Monday night.
- I’m grateful to my sister for making smoothies. 🙂

Reflections on Where I Can Improve:
- Don’t let perceived injustice take away my peace. Accept what is. Seek understanding where possible. Take action where beneficial, and trust that God has my back.
