(Written on October 7th from notes)
Amazingly, I woke up in a better place today–somehow. 🎉
I was positive and dove right into my dailies.
I spent more time trying to be a source of peace and light online in YouTube comments sections.
Ate some breakfast and then worked on the basement wall repair with Heather, mixing some sort of waterproof concrete repair to fill in the cracks that I had evened out, shaved and shaped during my previous blowout repair efforts.
It was a little stressful, as after mixing, you only had a minute and a half or less to put the concrete patch in place, but we managed, gratefully.
Heather took the first half of the day off to help in that effort, and then after she went to work, I spent the rest of the day beginning to reseal the basement walls. Most of the areas that needed to be sealed were sealed with a first coat way back I think in january?
But having been exposed to sun and strong winds and erosion for the last eight months, the walls were in need of a second coat. And there were also additional portions of the exterior walls that needed to be sealed, so that began today!
I made some pretty good progress today, and then I spent some time catching up on my journal entries that I’ve been super behind on, ate dinner, and called it a night.
Gratitude to My Father:
- I’m grateful for the mini miracle of feeling night and day different from yesterday this morning. It was… great. 😊 I didn’t last as long as I would have hoped, finding myself a bit frustrated and discouraged with the concrete patching struggles, as it was quite the challenge, but still, so much better today!
Oh! I forgot! I actually took a step toward my Lift The World efforts, reaching out to and connecting with a gentleman with one of the more well-known YouTube Channels that attempts to foster discussion between people of differing religious views in the LDS and Ex-Mormon space.
I hope to build friendships and connections as I move along in those efforts.
Lift the world.
Bring it on.
