(written on the 7th from notes taken previously)
I was exhausted from yesterday, so I was pretty slow going to get started today.
I ate breakfast, drag the horse poop, and then headed off to fill the water tank again. After filling it yesterday, I was only able to fill the one horse tank before needing to fill the tank again.
So I headed off to get more water, stopping off at neighbor Darrin’s place because I noticed he and another neighbor were working on a piece of heavy equipment.
I helped them for a little bit before bowing out and heading into town, as there was so much for me to do today.
Got the water tank filled at the filling station, then came home and filled the exterior water tank that we use to feed the house tank.
Lathered on the sunscreen and began day three of rolling the basement walls with sealant.
Made myself a bean smoothie during the day. Realized, as Miguel was paying me for the other Subaru, that the Subaru that I sold for $950 was actually the one that I bought for $1200.
So I actually did take a loss on that one. 😕
Oh well.
Continued busting my butt on the basement walls until dark, my sister Heather working after dark after she came home from work to clean off the foundation portion in preparation for my rolling again tomorrow.
So much work. 😅
Hung out with my sister for a while. Was proud to see members of my faith holding a fundraiser for the widow and child of the man who attacked and killed multiple members of the congregation in Michigan.
Got sunburned again despite re-applying sunscreen during the day and wearing my huge hat.
😶
After doing a little bit of research, it looks like it might be because my sunscreen was long expired? The date was partially worn off, but I think it probably said the expiration was in 2022. 😅
Oh well. I’m trying. I’m failing over and over and over again, but I’m trying. That’s my redeeming quality: I sincerely am trying, notwithstanding the pretty pathetic results of my life.
Gratitude to My Father:
- I’m grateful to have made the progress I did today with the sealant. Three days in to the rolling effort at this point.
- I’m grateful to realize that sunscreen does expire.
- I’m grateful for wonderful people who forgive and seek to lift, even those who might appear to be enemies.
Lift the world.
Bring it on.
