Helped a couple of German girls with their car this morning. They were trying to figure out where to put their windshield washer fluid, so I showed them where to put it, but it looks like their washer fluid pump is broken. 😕
Speaking of which (I think it was today?)
As I was driving, I realized that my windshield was sparkling clean.
🤔
It has been a bit dirty, before, but now it was spotless.
😶
Did someone clean my windshield while I was sleeping last night?
🤷♂️
Thanks, mystery person? 🙏
Made my way up to Waikato Bay (I’ve been looking for his snorkeling places).
Went out snorkeling and thoroughly enjoyed it. I love snorkeling. I’d probably love scuba diving even more, but… it’s expensive, and I’ve always been nervous about coming up too fast and all that jazz.
The snorkeling was awesome. I saw so many different kinds of fish, some really big ones, and some really cool looking ones. The only one I could identify for sure was an Australian snapper, which had these gorgeous electric turquoise spots, and the same color fins and eyes with the way the light through the water reflected off of them.
They were also very curious, following me around a little bit. 😊
There was another fish with a large single black spot on the side, a large dark gray fish with an orange ridge along it’s back, a smaller (maybe a foot long?) exotic looking fish with green freckles on its face and frilly side fins, another large one with a few orange stripes on top coming down each side like hair parted down the middle. Can’t remember all of them now.
Absolutely beautiful place, two bays separated by a tiny little peninsula that, where I had my van parked, was only like a hundred meter path to go from the one way to the other. On the map, the two bays look a bit like a bum print. 🙃
Hung out in the parking lot with my van for a while, and a german couple pulled up in their van (lots of Germans traveling in New Zealand).
Can’t remember their names, but the woman was quite… friendly. 😅
They were a couple, but maybe a couple with loose relationship rules? Or maybe she was just a touch personality. 😅
Aaaaanyway… can’t remember their names, but I was telling the guy about the snorkeling and what I’d seen but couldn’t identify, and he asked out this time with him manning a GoPro, and I was all for it.
So without, and he showed me a trick of using liquid dish soap to wash the inside of your normal mask out the first which basically completely eliminates any fogging.
It worked. Tremendously.
🥳
That’s the first time I’ve ever been able to go snorkeling without any fogging issues.
So cool!!!
He also beckoned me over when he saw the stingray, a big one. That was cool. I had seen stingrays before in New Zealand last time, but they were just little ones in the shallows.
At some point in time, a Canadian names Alex from Quebec came by, and we chatted for a bit. He’s been living in New Zealand for a while, having met the New Zealand woman and stayed.
Nice guy. Chatted with him for a good bit and then took his recommendation to go to Rangiputa Beach, where I watched the sunset and chatted with a YouTuber who put me in what I’m guessing was a live-stream? 😅
So I’m on YouTube somewhere with a Maori man who films himself sea fishing–and smoking a bit of Mary Jane. 🙃

As it was getting dark, I bid them farewell and drove away, finding a spot to park on the side of the road in Awanui at the designated freedom camping place.
Oh… I decided to start trading again. 😅
Made $80 today. Trading small share sizes.
🤞
Lift the world.
Bring it on.
