As I was driving home today, I thought to myself how lovely it was that I was getting home early.
Funny when 9:30 is early.
But hey, when you’ve been getting home at 12:30, 1:30, etc., it feels super early.
Anyway, happy Sunday, Peeps. I hope y’all have had a lovely week. I don’t really have a lot to say tonight. I’m super exhausted after a whole week of long long hours, not enough sleep, and blistering heat.
It’s 1:37 a.m., and you might ask why it is that I’m not getting to bed until nearly 2 after getting off couple hour ago, it’s because I came home and had to eat and drink and take care of Che. Then I noticed how long the lawn was, and thinking about Che and ticks and chiggers with long grass and all that, I mowed the lawn, getting done around midnight, I think. Then I went out for a run (a shorter 15-minute one because my body is already in bad shape from the heat). Then I lost my keys and wallet (they’re attached to each other, which usually makes it really hard to lose, but I think they are locked in the Durango.
Lovely.
Oh, I’m tired. Wow. I’m looking forward to sleeping and not getting up until I wake up on my own… I might even close the curtains, so the sun doesn’t wake me up. We’ll see. I’m looking forward to sleep, though.
I’m gonna have to eat and drink more before bed, though–even though I just brushed my teeth because I need some nourishment and hydration–more than I have anyway. Probably will do a protein shake and some granola and yogurt (granola mixed with the yogurt. Mmmm)
Anyway, I think I did better at saying no today. I did let a couple spontaneous jobs slip in, but I said no to a good number of people. And though I only finished early really because I forgot about a few people and was just so burned out that I was dead to the car repair world that I just couldn’t go there, it as still saying no.
I’m gonna cut this short and go to bed…
#1. I’m grateful for another good money day to help toward the goals.
#2. I’m grateful I was able to figure out why a 2015 Armada lost a significant amount of wind power through the AC vents after going through the car wash (water got into the HVAC system through the cabin air filter vents and saturated the dirty filters, making it much harder for the air to get through the filters with the water locking the filter pores.
#3. I’m grateful that David was there to help me finish up the last job of the day. He swung by to get paid for the day, and I was just… done working on cars for the day, and he finished my last car up for me. Very grateful for that. Thanks, David!!!
#4. I’m grateful I was able to get the whole lawn mowed in the dark with my headlamp. Really wasn’t hard at all, though erosion is exposing more and more tree roots, and the number of chewed up roots is multiplying faster this summer than ever here. Not sure why all of the sudden so many roots have made it to the surface…
#5. I’m grateful to be finishing this journal entry, so I can go to bed.
Good night, my lovelies.
Lift the World.
