2020-07-10 — Needles & Drugs and… Tough Answers

Hey, y’all,

So… as planned, I stayed home today because of the poison ivy mess all over my body. It was getting really bad, worse by the hour, perhaps the worst case I’ve ever had (which is saying a lot). Fortunately, not too long after my eye started swelling up, my mom suggested I go get myself a shot and some steroids from the local urgent care.

Luckily, believe it or not, I was the only person there when I got there, was able to get right in, had the pleasure of offering a left-cheek view to the NP on duty, and a little sting and a little burn later, I was on my way to the pharmacy for some steroids, and now… 12 hours or so later, the swelling has gone down a good bit. I’m still pretty uncomfortable but not miserable like I was before. All in all, worth the $230 or so it cost, I think.

Other than that, today has been a very important day. Today, I received answers. Answers I’ve been looking for for years. Answers to several of the most important questions I’ve had in my life. Many of the answers were hopeful. One very important one to me is up in the air, and to be honest, I’m nervous about it. But there’s still more truth to find. The journey is not 100% over, for sure, and I don’t know where things go from here. I’ve got a lot to ponder.

#1. I’m grateful for the answers I’ve been given today.

#2. I’m grateful for the shot and steroids I was able to get today. I’m grateful to have some improvement.

#3. I’m grateful that though I’m covered in rash, only a few places are itching.

#4. I’m grateful to be finding truth.

#5. I’m grateful for a patient friend.

#6. I’m grateful sleep.

Good night, my lovelies. May you have beautiful dreams. May you rest well and sufficiently.

Loves and hugs to you all.

Lift the World,

~ stephen
