2020-07-24 — An Unexpected Twist

Hey folks,

I’m gonna make it brief tonight.

I’m tired. It’s 2:21 a.m. I have a very busy day of work… well… today… starting in about 5 hours now, and I’m already low on sleep as it is, and I pushed off half of the day’s work that was for today to tomorrow, so that I could have a meaningful last day with my friend before we were gonna transition away from this three-week re-connection and go our own ways again, but…

I got blindsided by something tonight…

I don’t know really what it was… lots of negative energy… call it Satan or whatever makes most sense. It was powerful. It was instant. It was ugly, and it wasn’t from either of us. We were right in the middle of winding things up, saying goodbye, and I just got…hammered. It sort of…. well… it completely ruined the moment, but… that’s life. My friend wasn’t phased, and there will be another moment.

Still, three hours later, I’m still processing right now. Trying to make sense of what happened. I’ll get there. I’m not worried about it anymore, just would like to figure out what the heck all that was about.

#1. I’m grateful to have people referring others to my business.

#2. I’m grateful to know good people. I’ve got a buddy going through a super rough time right now, and his coworker realized how rough things were, and bought him a pizza and told him to just stay after his shift and hang out, and it was super good for him. I hung out with him, and we just ate pizza and talked. It was good.

#3. I’m grateful to not have troubles sleeping. So many do…

#4. I’m grateful to be feeling better now than I was a couple hours ago.

#5. I’m grateful for my mom. Always there for me through thick and thin, even though most of the time, she can really only be a listening ear.

#1. Uh… cleaning up after myself from yesterday. That’s a… well… I think a net positive today? Not for sure, so we’ll count it as a net positive :).

#2. Want to be better at… getting to sleep on time still.

Think I’m just gonna do two today. 🙂

Good…  morning, my lovelies :).

Lift the World.
